I am disappointed in One Insurance. We bought a guesthouse (business and content) while we continued to rent the buildings, from the previous owner, because he refused, to sell the buildings to us. Right from the start, the landlord could not provide us with an electricity COC. After 4 years, of requesting the latter, without success, the Department of Labour closed the guesthouse down, leaving us without a roof over our heads or an income. ONE is refusing to honour the claim for business interruption, saying we did not do enough to ensure we get a COC, from the landlord. They also say, that nothing bad has happened, like a fire or injury and that we have no grounds, for any claims. They initially indicated, that we have a claim under the business interruption clause - "prevention of access", but has now turned back on their word, deciding against it.
