I had horrible service from Contempo clothing store as well as Cape Gate shopping center management after my purchase was duplicated on my gift card. After weeks of struggling to get the duplication reversed I still don't have the duplicated amount back on my card. They are constantly passing the buck and nobody wants to take responsibility to sort this out. This gift card was a retirement gift from my colleagues and the whole shopping experience was spoiled for me
They do not even deserve 1 star, what a joke! On the 15th of Dec I made a purchase on my account of R779.90. The lady at the pay point scanned my items and told me the purchase did not go through, she then scanned again and said it did not go through again, she scanned a third time and again she said it is not going through. We then moved to another pay point where another lady assisted her because personally I think she did not know what she was doing. My purchase then went through on the 4th try. When I receved my statement for January I saw they debited my account 4 times with the same amount of R779.90!!!! Unbelievable. I have been unable to get anybody from Edgars to understand what happened on the 15th of Dec, needless to say it does'nt take a Rocket scientist to figure out the problem, but they had the cheek to tell me I have to complete a dispute form in order for them to assist!, TO DISPUTE WHAT EDGARS? Your mistake???? I am not payng the incorrect instalment for January and will only pay once the 3 incorrect amounts of R779.90 are reversed and I receive a new statement with my correct purchases reflecting. If they let a late payment show on my credit score I will get legal help and sue them for damages. I have never experienced such bad service ever in my life. I will be closing my account as soon this problem has been sorted out.
