Bad attitude with regards to quoting

I required a swimming pool cover to be installed, but because of a water feature, I wanted someone from the company to come out to site to have a look at the pool and measure so that they could get exact measurements. They wanted photos instead, which I have provided, but you cannot accurately determine how the cover will fit over the pool based on a photo. So , eventually, the lady refuses to have someone come out to measure and implies to me that I can take my business elsewhere. <br> How do companies provide a service like that, and still want to be profitable?
