I am compelled to write a review of _D G Gas & Electrical_ (Tongaat), as the service I received was of such an appalling quality, it needs to be made known to other potential customers. I hired _D G Gas & Electrical_ to service and replenish the gas for my stove, but what was meant to be a quick *2 hour job*, turned into a *3-week ordeal* where I was left with unfinished work and the responsibility of chasing up on the workers and owner. This complete disregard and shoddy service culminated in a phone call from the owner, who accused me of not paying the full amount for services WHICH WERE INCOMPLETE! If I had been given a chance to respond during a telephone ‘conversation’ riddled with loud vulgarities and half-truths, I would have explained that I have no intention of paying for work that was not done. Finally, I was forced to hang up the phone and call his receptionist to explain my position, of being more than happy to pay the full amount once the job was complete. Eventually, my pleas (which spanned over the course of *2-weeks*) were answered and the work was complete in under 30 minutes; payment was effected immediately. However, the whole experience was highly unprofessional and unpleasant to say the least, and I would be loathe to recommend this company to anyone looking for gas or electrical work in future. It is not worth the trouble.
My daughter ordered a wedding dress in April 2017 for her wedding in December 16. The 80% deposited was made then. We were told the order must be in at least 4 months before the wedding. ( we had ample time) in June we were called in for a fitting - we were horrified to see that the entire pattern was not what we had ordered. Jasmin, the owner assured us that all will be fixed in time and that we were lucky to place our order to early. She said that the dress will be ready by October 2017 which will still give her time to make minor adjustments. The dress arrived on the 18 th of December 2017. Jasmin excuse is that ‘i was only 2 days late in delivering the dress’ long story short - we had asked her to refund our deposit R20 000. At first she said she would, it is now March and she has not paid us a cent and is now refusing to take my calls.
