Would like to share my bad experience with Nissan Mosselbay and with Nissan South Africa not caring ... Since I bought a new Nissan NP200 I always serviced it Nissan Mosselbay...(full service record) I had to pick up a parcel in George so I booked it in at George Nissan for it's 125K service, I also mentioned there was an oil leak they had to check out (leaked since my last service at Mosselbay Nissan and was getting worse). About half an hour after dropping it off I got a call from Nissan George telling me that they found the source of the oil leak, the Oil drain plug was totally stripped and siliconed by the previous service agent (Mosselbay)... It had to be re-tapped by an outside engineer shop at my expense (they were not he last agent that worked on the car), so asked them to pick me up at the mall. I took 4 photos of the stripped plug and oil drain hole with the dry silicone clearly visible on both parts sump and plug, the workshop manager from Nissan George also wrote a letter stating his findings regarding the stripped plug... I contacted Nissan South Africa, supplied them with the letter from Nissan George and photos asking them to assist me in getting R600 refund from mosselbay for the engineer shops work. They informed me that Nissan Mosselbay wont refund me because the photos were taken after the oil drain plug was removed.... I had to supply them with photos before the plug was removed (the 4 photos show copious amounts of dry silicone still stuck to the bakkie's sump and also on the oil drain plug and a the letter from the George workshop manager stating what they found didn't carry weight with either Nissan SA or Mosselbay... Mosselbay refuses to refund me for their mistake, don't bother buying or servicing your motor there, rather go to Nissan George if you MUST buy Nissan!!!
