Rolls Royce of Inverters. I have the MLT Oasis inverter and MLT Nomad solar charger running my entire 6 bedroom house entirely off grid. I don't even have an Eskom point. All made locally in Cape Town and the company is over 30 years old. These are lifetime products. The way things used to be made.
Ive been running my 6 bedroom house totally offgrid with no issues. Great local products and good support footprint. I think they are the oldest company in South Africa in the business.
<p>In May of this year Chubb debitted my account for an extra random amount of R480. I phoned the accounts department and no one could tell me what it was for. For 1 month I could not get a response.</p> <p>My contract had expired so on the 1st of June I sent a account cancellation email because frankly I do not trust their accounting practices. They acknowledged my cancellation request and told me it would be done.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is now 3 months later and another debit went off a few days ago. This is tantamount to theft.</p> <p> </p> <p>No one ever returns my call. No one has ever explained to me the R480 debit. No one ever emails me back.</p> <p>I spoke to the manager Wayne and he was shocked but guess what! He has never called me back and I can't get hold of him.</p> <p>ABSA will not block them because I have a "contract". They don't care that it is expired.</p> <p> </p> <p>Jameela Mowlana is the "client liason" handling my cancellation. She simply ignores me. She literally hung up the phone on me beacuse I told her "she was not doing her job".</p> <p> </p> <p>My emails are now bouncing to her office. My IT guys tells me someone in the department has blocked me as spam.</p> <p> </p> <p>They continue to debit money out of my account.</p> <p> </p> <p>This is incredible!</p>
Dropped a bike off and asked them to send me a quote on bearings.<br> <br> 3 weeks later I called them to find out why it was taking so long to get a quote.<br> <br> They very rudely told me that had called once and that I needed to come fetch the bike or be charged a daily fee. I received not even a message to contact them.<br> <br> I went to fetch the bike and said I was happy to pay but I would like to complain that I was not contacted or quoted.<br> <br> The front desk man broke into what can only be described as verbal abuse. An unimaginable customer experience. Shocked, I then asked to speak to his manager.<br> <br> The manager comes out and then joins in the abuse. He starts ranting on about irrelevant topics like \I don't fix toys so you are lucky we even did this job\" and \" \"I run 3 bike shops and you don't tell me how to run my business\".<br> <br> I asked him a direct question: \"It is illegal to go ahead on a job without quoting the customer. Do you respect the law, yes or no\". He said: \"No\".<br> <br> The most unbelievable and horrific experience of customer service I have ever experienced. I felt like I was confronting gang members on a bad deal.<br> <br> Horrific and illegal."
