I purchased a used 2016 Honda Africa Twin 1000L DCT from Harley-Davidson Cape Town on March 1st, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. To begin with, the motorcycle was sold to me without a service history or any documentation proving when the last service was carried out. For a premium dealership like Harley-Davidson, this lack of transparency is unacceptable — especially when buying a used bike where service history is crucial for peace of mind. On top of that, the bike came fitted with a top box that was secured using only three nuts and bolts. This raised serious concerns about the safety and quality checks performed before the bike was handed over. Once I removed the top box, I discovered that the constant rattling noise I had been hearing wasn’t caused by it at all — it was in fact due to a very loose chain, which was clearly neglected during any pre-sale inspection or prep. To make matters worse, after the motorcycle was collected by their service department, I received no update for two full days. Not a single call or email to let me know what was going on or what the service status was. This lack of communication only added to my growing frustration. Buying a motorcycle — especially from a reputable brand like Harley-Davidson — should be a positive and exciting experience. Sadly, this one has left me feeling let down and questioning the standards of service at Harley-Davidson Cape Town. I strongly urge potential buyers to think twice and ask all the hard questions before doing business with them. Disappointed customer.
Dear Kauai,

I would like to express my deepest disappointment in the delivery of your services. I am a health fanatic and follow a very strict diet. Kauai is one of only a few restaurants/juice bars which cater for healthy living. I spend on average R1500.00 at various Kauai bars across Gauteng while travelling.

On more than on occasion, Kauai Vanderbijlpark did not have Vanilla Whey Protein, frozen bananas and peanut butter for their Peanut Butter Bomb shake, which I have on a daily basis. Two weeks ago, they did not even have straws and was selling shakes to the public. I mean, it takes 10 minutes to go to the shop and buy straws!

Today, they did not open on time and for people depending on them to have a healthy start to the day, they failed to deliver.

I am very disappointed and hope that they can improve not only on their service delivery but can keep product on stock in order to ensure that they can produce the healthy food and shakes they claim.
