Don't use this snake. Olie comes across as being a decent guy but be careful of his quotes as he conveniently forgets to add in what you have discussed and then tries to get more money out of you when you bring it to his attention. He charges you for items on the quote and then does not repair them, lies about completing the work, takes his money and leaves. When you try and call him back to finish the work that you have paid him for, he will lie to you so connivingly that you will believe that he will sort it out and he never returns.
A ****** if ever I met one. If you are looking to have someone enter your home and ***** your money then use Marvelous from Marvelous Renovations. He is a **** and a ***** and if I can prevent one person from going through what I did I would have achieved my objective. Marvelous came to do a quote for me on a laundry room upgrade and his quote was higher than other contractors however he came across as being so competent that I decided to go ahead with his quote. Two days later before he even started the work, he asked for 60% as he needed to order a cupboard, I went against my better judgement and transferred the money to him. He came to my home, did the bare minimum in terms of plumbing of which he used left over pieces from other jobs, damaged my tap so that it is now leaking, and he left. He never returned with my cupboard. In the days that followed I called him every day as he need to fit the cupboard that he “ordered” as well as finish the job that I had already paid him for. At first his excuse was that the cupboard wasn’t ready, this carried on for a week, then it was his bakkie that met with an accident for the rest of the 2nd week. By the end of the 2nd week, I asked for my money to be returned to which he agreed. He then **** about transferring my money for another week, eventually I got into contact with his managing agent I believe who referred Marvelous to me from Snuppit and it was Johan who helped in getting a portion of my money back. It was not significant enough as the cost that I had incurred as a result of this interaction far outweighed what I had received in return. Please do not use this company as you will surely regret it.
My Fellow South Africans It is not often that I experience such pathetic service that I spend my Friday evening at my laptop, but I cannot believe that in this day and age where competition is so rife in a crushing world economy that companies can be so uninterested in customer service. The Aramex commitment as it is on the product is as follows : 1. Buy a sleeve 2. Drop in a box 3. We’ll Deliver • Your package will be collected at 3pm Monday to Friday ( unless specified otherwise) and delivered the next business day , if going to a main centre. What a load of **** !! I went into PnP Randridge Mall in Rand Park Ridge on Wednesday the 27th of May, purchased a sleeve and was advised by the cashier at the Money Counter that the courier service runs daily and my package will be delivered to Durban the next day provided that I drop of the sleeve by 3pm as that is the collection time. Off course I believed every word of the Cashier as it corelated to the commitment on the Aramex sleeve. I then proceeded to complete the required information required on the waybill and sealed the package. I was back at Pick and Pay at 2.30pm only to be told that I had just missed the collection time. I was confused at that point as according to the Cashier earlier that day as well as the information on the Aramex documents collection was at 3pm daily, none the less I assumed that the package will be collected the next day which was Thursday and delivered on Friday. To my disbelief on Friday afternoon the package was still not delivered and as I was in a full day meeting was on able to contact the call centre at 4.30pm. The contact number on the internet for “Customer Service” directed me to Cape Town. I held on for a very long time, eventually I spoke to a very friendly consultant Sunny who advised that the package was only collected from PnP Randridge Mall today the 29th of May, 2 full days after I had dropped of the parcel in the drop box. Please bear in mind that I paid for overnight delivery. When I enquired as to why this was the case Sunny was unable to advise and suggested that I contact the Johannesburg contact centre but in the interim he would request that they send the parcel tonight. That call took about 15minutes. By the time that I had dialled the JHB call centre number it was 16.45pm and it took another 5 minutes for Rochelle to answer my call. I explained my plight to her advising that the delivery was now urgent but it was like talking to a wall. When I enquired as to why it had taken 2 days to get collected I was given some incoherent story about Covid 19. If that was the case why is there no signage in Pick and Pay to advise accordingly or why was I not advised by the Cashier at the Money Counter?? How is it possible that employees can be so blasé about the fact that I as a customer had a need that I paid for yet no one can help me in an urgent situation ?? I then asked to speak to a Manager, Rochelle advised me that it is very late and she is not sure if anyone ( Thokozama the Manager ) will call me back. I mentioned that this is unacceptable and I want a call back as it was still within working office hours for Aramex. No one has called me since. To say I am disgusted by the service would be putting it mildly. It has truly been a long time since I have experience such an absolute lack of consideration for customer service and I actually was not asking for a miracle just for this company to keep up their of the commitment. There was absolutely no recourse for the fact that Aramex did not hold up their end of the agreement. There are 100’s of Courier Services in the country and I have used many of them and never before have I ever experienced this !! Regards Suraiya
Andries Jansen truly brings new meaning to a wolf in sheep's clothing. Upon meeting Andries I was so impressed by his willingness to help others that I was completely blinded by the number of items he was stealing from me. I had contracted with Andries Jansen for renovations that I needed done in my home. I had just moved in and there was a great deal of work to do. Andries was referred to me by a trusted source but little did I know that I was going to be in for a disappointing journey. Items that went missing from my home ranged from light bulbs to cell phone chargers and power banks to mention a few. When I asked Andries he brought some of the items back claiming that they were packed by mistake however the items were not anywhere near where he was working so my drawers had been scratched thro. Not only will he steal from you he will also make commitments and not end up fulfilling on them. A job that he advised will take 3 days had taken over a month to complete. There were days when he just would not come to work , he would put his phone off and whether or not you have made plans around him , he would not care. Eventually when he does come to work he would act as if he did nothing wrong. I had unfortunately paid him most of the money upfront so I could not exactly do much about his behaviour . My husband tried to warn me but I still gave Andries the benefit of the doubt. I could not deny it any longer thou when Andries had taken money from me to install cupboard doors , promised he would install them and then just disappeared with my money. He refuses to take my calls or respond to any correspondence that I have attempted so if there is any advice that I can give anyone looking for a reliable , trustworthy contractor , do not use Hubby On Call as they will really steal it all.
