Avis has been my preferred choice for car rental for many years and I have always had good service from them. Unfortunately, that relationship has now soured. They have always put a hold on your card for the deposit which is understandable. However in the last year or so, the hold on the card is not released unless you phone their call centre. Every time this is 3 to 4 weeks later. The call centre then tells you that it will take 24 to 72 hours for it to be released. Don't trust that either. It is now almost a week. Unacceptable. I will rather try another car rental in future. I do not have time to play this game.
Bought the 90cm Totai gas/electric stove just over 2 years ago. The timer switch broke after only one year. It was replaced under warranty. One year later and it is broken again. This means the oven cannot be used. The quality is terrible. The oven door is coming loose. It is impossible to get the parts. The Totai service centres are extremely unhelpfull and none of the big electrical outlets stock the spares.
