I have always been a massive fan of Hyundai cars. Infact, between my husband and myself we have purchased 5 hyundai's from Raj at Durban South Edwin Swales Branch. Just last year October we decided it was time for an upgrade, and opted for the new Tucson, during this process we traded in our older Tucson. Once all the paperwork was "completed" we were allowed to take the vehicle. A few days later we received a call to tell us that the car had not gone in for it's COR and therefore we would need to bring it back to the dealership so they could take it for COR. We took the car in, and the lady that we were dealing with drove the car to the COR offices only to come back a few minutes later and tell us that the COR offices were closed and that we would need to bring the car back again when they are open. This caused so much frustration, as this should have all be done before collecting the car. But my husband was patient enough and took it back for a second time, Just a few weeks later my husband received a call from a lawyer stating that the Tucson we had traded in had been in an accident and that he needed to settle the damages as the vehicle was still in his name, which is ludicris, as Hyundai had already had the vehicle for several weeks, surely they would have arranged the change of ownership!!! One would think this is the case, but believe me, this branch has failed at customer care from all sides. When my husband called Raj, the principal dealer, he mention that their finance lady had taken the car and she was the one that had the accident, so my husband asked for the case number (As the accident should have been registered with the police), and a copy of her license. He received every excuse under the sun and these document were never received. After several calls backwards and forwards, we have eventually managed to get through to the lawyers and explained the situation. However, this should not have been the case, this vehicle should not have been driven off of the parking lot for a joy ride if its still in the old owners name and not in Hyundai's name as yet. And to add salt to the would, out new Tucson is still not registered on the NATIS system!! HOW CAN SO MUCH GO WRONG with one dealership!!! Hyundai Edwin Swales - Catch a way up!
