Complaint: National Realtors Group (NRG) Port Elizabeth RE: FORCED TO MOVE BEFORE LOCKDOWN ON 26 MARCH 2020. Please advise on my legal rights regarding a matter between MYSELF Stewart Pawley (the tenant) and a rental agent, Alett Fourier, from Nation Realtors Group (NRG) in Port Elizabeth. My family and I were forced to move out of our flat the day before Lockdown at no. 9 The WATERFRONT, 11 Windemere Street, Humewood in Port Elizabeth. The unit was on my Mother's name, Gail Pawley. We were told to be out of the flat by the 26th of March 2020 at 12pm and yet we did not find another place to live yet. Alett Fourie (NRG SA) insisted that instead of 31 March 2020 and no intent of refunding for the remaining days from 27 March 2020 - 31 March 2020, which was told by Alett it would be deducted from the deposit. This is a bad reflection on NRG and they operate never-minded and the way she behaved whilst doing it because the Caretaker, Eddie did not want to allow them access to the property as they did not get permission to move in on that particular day. Alett Fourie's behavior in front of our child who was already stressed by this eviction by sitting swearing, crying and making a scene inside the flat with the Caretaker, Eddie and on the phone was very unprofessional with whoever she was speaking to and not allowing us to take down our curtains because we were unable to locate the 2 curtains that were originally came when renting the premises that didn't even cover the lounge window. The new tenant then moved in at 12pm on 26th March 2020 while my girlfriend was still packing up and cleaning the unit. Different people, including Alett where entering and exiting the unit whilst my girlfriend and child were there. My girlfriend had to hand over the keys to the new tenant while she was still in the place and he basically moved in on top of us. Be-warned of Alett Fourie /NRG Port Elizabeth and how they conduct business.
