Corporate Greed is Endemic in South Africa I have subscribed to a company called Accountability for a number of years. They provide a host of business related services to many businesses throughout South Africa. I use them for blacklisting of non paying clients mainly but they perform a myriad of other services. I sent them an email a few days ago advising them that I am handing in my customary 1 month notice period as I am now using the services of another company that offers similar services but at a much more convenient package and at much cheaper rates. I NOW RECEIVE AN EMAIL FROM THEM STATING THAT MY NOTICE PERIOD IS 12 MONTHS! Have you ever heard of such bull**** in your life before? I emailed them back and told them to go and have ***ual intercourse with themselves as well as suggesting that they go and work in the Donald Trump spin department. He thrives on hiring people who specialise in small print and bull****. If you are looking for a “business services” company, I sincerely suggest that you do not use Accountability. They rely on small print to keep you hooked into paying them for a service you do not want or need.
A word of warning to anyone who might have an MWEB account and who has upgraded from ADSL to fibre. I upgraded my ADSL to fibre over a year ago and when I looked my monthly MWEB account in detail this week, I see that they are still charging me R399 a month for my non-existent ADSL service, 16 months later!! If you are also an MWEB client who has upgraded to fibre, I would love to know if you are also still being charged for this non-existent ADSL service. I have queried the with MWEB but have not had a single reply to my email, besides a “read receipt”. I wonder how many other thousands of people they are doing this to.
