Hi Peter I recently bought a " demo" 2022 sym crox 125 s****** from Auto motorcycles in Port Elizabeth with aprox 300km's on it to save a R1000. I was assured by the sales person Colin Becker that i still had the two year warranty on the bike. I noticed that when using the front brakes, it had a shudder. Also it lost a bolt on the exhaust pipe and when i took it for its 1000km service at the same business i purchased it from i brought this to their attention. I was then informed that the service was done, bolt replaced and the front wheel is buckled. I was informed because the s****** is under warranty they will have to claim a new rim and front brake disc from Kawasaki in jhb. When i collected the s****** i asked the mechanic that had worked on the bike how could that happen and he informed me that its a factory fault. I do need to mention that you don't feel it whilst riding only when applying the front brakes. There is also no damage to the tyre, rim or disc. When i phoned them a week later..today 17/05/2022 to my surprise and shock i was informed that kawasaki does not accept liability because the salesman said that when he handed over the bike there was nothing wrong with it as he had ridden it. They also said that i must have hit something that's why its buckled. So the question remains..if that was the case..would there not be damage to the rim and or tyre as an impact with something that would cause the wheel to buckle would surely result in some kind of marks or damage? And why would the mechanic tell me its a factory fault and then they turn around and accuse me!! I bought this s****** in good faith from the agents..not a second hand dealership!! Surely if it was due to any fault of mine i would have claimed from my insurance? Totally disgusted in the after sales service of this company
