I find this company to be *****ulent and *******. They approached me and was so convincing in a face-to-face meeting with a consultant and was explained that I won't lose my money and can cancel at any time. Now a year later, you cannot phone them, get your money back or reverse the money from them. How do I stop this people when I keep on telling them that I cannot afford them and want to cancel. They return by email only and just state you have to pay. Don't I have a consumer right to prevent them from doing this?

I am in my last month of my contract and owed them one month in arrears and they soft-locked my phone first, then later hard locked it on 13 April, and two days later deleted my number. I went to the store to pay the arrears in order to be able to cancel the contract which they don't allow you to do if in arrears. Paid them only to find out that my number is deleted. I was told to phone the call center as it is them who can only open my phone. Phoned them and they told me I must go back to the store and fill in a reactivating form and my phone will be opened. Got back to the store and was told to pay R285,00 for activation. I said no I am still in contract. They phoned the call center and put me on the phone, again after exhausting all options, I was told the same story, so now I say ok just reactivate and I had to pay for new sims R210 because the old ones are deleted. Now I have to wait 7 working days for it to be activated and will be charged for this month and next month, but my phone is off since the beginning of the month. The 2 sims are because I have two phones on the contract.
