Too often the fresh produce purchased at Woolworths is rotten, or has fungus. The raspberries in particular, never last past a day of purchase. I recently purchased avocados, and cut them open immediately, only to find them all rotten on the inside. The raspberries had fungus and rotted a day later. I sent the receipts and pics to Woolworths who promised to refund the wasted purchase. However weeks later, several emails later (all of which go ignored), as well as several calls later, my query goes unresolved, and unresponded to! Shame on Woolworths. They brag about freshness in quality which is often untrue!
It's no wonder that there are so many bad reviews on Meat World Wonderboom. The store sells substandard quality meat, to put it politely. The quality of meat is actually awful. They collected poor quality meat from me, with a promise to replace the meat, and now they are failing to do, expecting me to fill in documents which they emailed to me, which was not the arrangement. Most is either extremely tough, or it is off. Do not purchase from them. The meat is only fit for animals. It's the third time that I have received awful quality meat, and incurred a loss of money.
I lodged a claim with Santam in November 2025 and to date, my claim has not been concluded, while my correspondence goes ignored. The assessor being Allsure had said that my entire suite needs to be replaced, only for Eksteen National to state that they will only cover damaged sections regardless of whether my suite becomes a mismatch ..this is despite being told differently when I initiated the policy. To sell the policy to me, Santam had stated that they would never allow a mismatch in the event of any damages, but would instead replace, or recover the entire suite. Now, I find that I am at an impasse, and such while the insurer totally disregards any loss of value to such an expensive suite! That is not why we insure items, so it seems that insuring with Santam totally defeats the purpose of doing so! I've received letters confirming that my claim has been concluded which is not the case, and my emails for Santam management, as well as to Eksteen National, go ignored, while I sit with damages. This is a total injustice and needs to be taken further.
I've been chasing after Sharon Peters, from Client Services for several weeks now, so as to get clarity regarding an email that she sent to me. Weeks later, I am no further advanced, as my emails have gone ignored. Yet another member of Liberty rep**** my email yesterday, asking her if she has responded, and today, she simply sent an automated message instructing me to contact the underwriters! What a pathetic, horrible, attitude! She couldn't take the time to respond to a simple question relating to HER initial instructions! She has kept me on hold for weeks without a response, delaying me from making progress, then finally displays a bad attitude! Service from Liberty life lacks big time!.
Following my review on Discovery Health weeks ago, whereby they responded to the effect that they will be in contact with me, that was a blatant lie, since they have not bothered to contact me at all! That is probably an automated response. Either way, Discovery Health does not care, they are only in it for our money! I have sent the documents they require several times, so Stabile could simply call me to provide me with an alternate email address if that is not working for her. She fails to do so, despite my numerous calls.
Following my complaint regarding Discovery Health months ago, my situation is no further resolved.. I have made numerous calls and left numerous emails (via Discovery consultants) for Stabile to call me, but she clearly has no respect, honor, empathy, or consideration towards clients. Instead, I've been going around in circles, repeatedly resending the same one document to Discovery (which they require and keep on requesting over and over again), but no matter how many times I resend it, they constantly allege not to have received, and repeatedly send me the same email requests for the document, hence having wanted to resolve the issue with Stabile, except that she ignores all my requests for a call back. Is that soooo difficult!? Discovery is really a waste of time!
Following my prior complaints about Discovery Medical Aid over the past few weeks, they still have NOT contacted me!!! **********4 is the call ref for my call to Discovery whereby Avela Chemane promised to call me back on Monday (two days ago) but to date, has not done so.. Gabriel called me on Friday 26 September, advising that I should wait until Avela Chemane, or Stabile, who was allegedly handling the hellopeter complaint , call me back... They were to source a doctor who is willing to tend to my admission at one of their smart hospitals.. that has not happened! I have not heard from Discovery since Friday and the issue is no further advanced! Discovery does not care and simply lies to keep up a facade!
I was convinced by the broker that Discovery Medical Aid Smart Essential Plan is a great hospital plan, which will cover me 100% for hospitalization if need be, provided that I utilize hospitals on their smart network and doctors who are contracted to Discovery, but I feel as though it's NOT true (feels like a **** to me) because they make it virtually impossible to use the medical aid, for which I pay R 2100.00 per month in VAIN!!! Discovery has issued me with a list of doctors on their panel, yet none of them practice at any of their smart hospitals! If the list of doctors available to one, does NOT ALIGN with the hospitals available to one, then it places people at an IMPASSE.... One does NOT actually receive the benefit of utilizing the plan, alternatively one ends up making huge co payments either way, ie. Either we carry a huge portion of the hospital cover,.or a huge portion of the doctor's bill, so either way we are indebted and subsequently sabotaged from utilizating the medical aid plan fully! It feels like buying into a some sort of scheme. I have an approved hospital admission, yet after two weeks of suffering with pain and calling Discovery daily to get assistance in finding a doctor who is on their panel, who actually practices at a hospital on their panel, I am no further advanced! Staff are pretentious & fail to return calls! They simply forward a REDUNDANT list of specialists & hospitals, expecting the ill patient to call at least 10 doctors in an attempt to pair/match them with smart hospitals (of which pairing ought to specified on their list accordingly) only to find that some of the doctors ought NOT to be on the list, since they no longer live & practice in the province, leaving almost no options and/or availability of doctors practicing at smart hospitals, available to us. The doctors who are on the list, don't practice at the hospitals that we are obligated to use. And the hospitals that we are obligated to use, do not have doctors on the Discovery List. It's a literal mess that sick patients are expected to navigate their way through... Like searching for a needle in a hay stack. Their lists are not updated and if the staff can't figure out which doctors on their list practice at hospitals on their list (they are clearly confused and while they search their system with one on hold, it's very time consuming), then how do they expect patients to know? It's information which should be readily available to patients on a proper, prepared list, matching contracted doctors to the respective smart hospitals, yet they make it become a huge search and "rescue" mission for patients. After several calls yesterday and half my day wasted on calls to Discovery, I was promised call backs from Liana and of course, Zaheera was rather unwilling to oblige. I spoke to at least 7 different people for each call that I had to make, because they tactfully drop the calls. Still, nobody was able to assist, so I can't get medical care/cover from the medical aid that I pay for.. Yesterday was yet another excruciatingly painful (and wasted) day, failing to get results from Discovery! It's led me to question what is the point of paying for a hospital plan which is designed to make it impossible to utilize? Well, Liana asked me to hold for a short while for her, since she needed to establish something in order to assist me, only to transfer me to another department without any fore warning, which was a means of dismissing me and passing the buck! She was then sent an email requesting to call me back, but until now, she has not done so, and I am no further advanced. There are absolutely no benefits to having this medical cover! Discovery customer care service is absolutely pathetic! It's simply a money making scheme! Discovery has the audacity to respond to complaints posted on this forum, stating that they will investigate and revert to clients, yet fails to do so, rendering their undertakings, as lies.. they have NOT even contacted me concerning my previous complaint posted herein. It's a nightmare dealing with them. They fail to serve and I will now post complaints on X and every other social media platform before canceling the cover. It's as good as I've just donated money to Discovery!
I am starting to feel that Discovery Health is the worst service provider ever. One pays much to get very little in return. People at Discovery never seem to honor their undertakings to resolve issues, or to revert to clients. Their system is flawed and their staff lacks apathy! A refund is due to me and I've been chasing after such refund for a long time! I call almost daily, since they never take the initiative to return calls, or to revert with feedback,.despite their false promises to do so. I don't think that they care about their clients. It's all about the money!!!
Discovery collects my premiums every month, yet they fail to provide an adequate service, trying every attempt to dodge actually providing the cover needed! Discovery has made a circus out of the pre authorization needed, creating drama with conflicting stories to myself and the specialist! How pathetic! Shame on you Discovery! I have called more times than I care to count (costs incurred on me) to no avail. My calls earlier also go ignored.
