Customer of Fidelity ADT for many years without a problem. Recently notified them I would be away and gave a friend's contact number. Got back and discovered that a note had been left about an alarm activation and stating the officer could not get access to the premises. My friend had not been contacted and we have an ADT gate lock! I phoned and reported the problem, was told I would be phoned back; was not, so I filled out an enquiry form, but also no response to that. In absence of an email address for Fidelity ADT, I have resorted to hellopeter.
Email to Discovery Card on 28 Jan 2019 asking when Discovery Miles payments service would be restored. Reply from Zanele Makoko on 1 Feb advising that I would be notified once the error had been resolved. I replied the same day pointing out that the error had been resolved by the previous afternoon and stating that, unless I received a satisfactory explanation for this misinformation, I would submit a formal complaint. Immediate automatic reply that I could expect a response within two working days: still waiting. No facility on Discovery website to escalate a complaint: keep being referred back to the people who are the subject of the complaint!
Easy Flow Gutters proudly advertises that it is a family business which has been in the industry for 38 years serving the Pretoria and Gauteng areas and is a member of the Master Builders Association. In 2011 the Johannesburg branch installed gutters at my home and gave a 15 year guarantee against rust etc. There is now a hole in one of the gutters, so we tried to contact the Johannesburg branch but no reply. We contacted the Pretoria branch, which responded "we are not the same company and unfortunately do not carry their guarantee". I have ascertained that in 2011 Marbucons CC was trading as Easy Flow and had branches in Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Johannesburg branch no longer exists. The Pretoria branch continues to trade as Easy Flow, but is now run through Euro Gutters CC. I expressed surprise and disappointment that, based on a technicality (transferring the business into a different Close Corporation), they now refuse to honour their guarantee; but did not even receive the courtesy of a reply.

On 21 August 2016, a fraudulent SIM swop was done on my mobile and the SIM was used for fraudulent transactions on my Vodacom and Standard Bank accounts. I notified both of them, reported it to SAPS and provided all of them with the required documents. Vodacom investigated and credited my account with the relevant amounts. On 30 September 2016, Standard Bank asked me to get confirmation from Vodacom of the fraudulent SIM card swop, which I requested that day. Despite three email reminders to ********** to all of which I got replies that I would be contacted by the relevant department, I am STILL waiting for the confimation. This is holding up the refund of the money stolen from my bank account and is unacceptable.

There was a water leak inside a wall of our house as well as a couple of other minor plumbing jobs to be done. My sister in law recommended Bryanston Plumbing having had a few plumbing jobs done by them. We were very happy with the service received. The workmen were polite, punctual and left everything tidy. Considering that they had to come out twice and the time taken, I think their charge was very reasonable.
