Terrible Experience with GoBid – Wasted Time and Broken Promises I listed my old car on GoBid's website, and a Leads Consultant called with a firm offer of R64,000, which I accepted. He assured me the closing team would follow up to finalize. When the lady from that department called, she tried slashing it to R50,000. After I insisted on the agreed R64,000, they relented—but only after a long back-and-forth. I signed and returned the Offer to Purchase immediately. That's when the tricks started. I confirmed delivery for Saturday, citing clause 2.2.6 (payment before handing over papers). They demanded changes; I refused. The lady escalated to her Team Leader, who said she'd need management approval for payment upfront. This was Thursday, 7 May 2026—the last time they contacted me. On Friday, I followed up about delivering to their West Rand branch. The sales agent (Bella) rudely imp**** not to bother, in no uncertain terms. Now, after nearly 4 days of silence, I call today (12 May 2026) and learn the Offer to Purchase has "lapsed." They expect me to just move on? What about my wasted time, multiple calls, and the signed agreement? Bella was unprofessional and rude throughout. Avoid GoBid—they bait with offers, then ghost and dodge. Selling my car elsewhere now. 1/5 stars.
