I took my car to Cambridge repairs (77 Buitengracht, Cape Town, South Africa) for a routine major service. I left it there on a Thursday and told them that I would collect it on Monday. On Monday morning they said that the car wasn't ready and that there were extra items that needed repair. I ended up paying R4920. I was told to collect the car on Tue morn. On Tue morn the car wasn't ready. I phoned again in the afternoon and they told me to collect. I found my car filthy with greasy rags in it, and the right side mirror was broken. The manager accused me of bringing it like that! After arguing and going to and from their garage for a week, they installed a substandard mirror. To make matters worse, I also discovered that they had charged my card twice for the same service (2 x 4920 !). they promised several times to refund me, but each time I went to their garage they had a different excuse. Eventually, I approached Mastercard. With their help, I got my money back 2 mnths later! Thanks Mastercard! A google search showed that there was a worse complaint about Cambridge Repairs on Hello Peter: A client driving away with tyres loosely bolted on, because of the garage's negligence.
I needed to change a flight booking urgently. The website would not allow me to do this as it kept popping up with error messages or crashing. I called the call centre, but their line kept cutting midway through the long process. I called 3 times without success. The nature of their call centre doesn't allow the consultants to call customers back. I had no choice but to book a completely new flight on another airline.
