I took my car in for a service to \The Garage"aka Cambridge Repairs (previously Budget Auto) in March where I was told I needed to have my suspension redone. They did this at 9k and afterwards my car was making noises it never had before. I took it back again for fixing"

I took my car to Cambridge repairs (77 Buitengracht, Cape Town, South Africa) for a routine major service. I left it there on a Thursday and told them that I would collect it on Monday. On Monday morning they said that the car wasn't ready and that there were extra items that needed repair. I ended up paying R4920. I was told to collect the car on Tue morn. On Tue morn the car wasn't ready. I phoned again in the afternoon and they told me to collect. I found my car filthy with greasy rags in it, and the right side mirror was broken. The manager accused me of bringing it like that! After arguing and going to and from their garage for a week, they installed a substandard mirror. To make matters worse, I also discovered that they had charged my card twice for the same service (2 x 4920 !). they promised several times to refund me, but each time I went to their garage they had a different excuse. Eventually, I approached Mastercard. With their help, I got my money back 2 mnths later! Thanks Mastercard! A google search showed that there was a worse complaint about Cambridge Repairs on Hello Peter: A client driving away with tyres loosely bolted on, because of the garage's negligence.

I was a bit wary when I read a complaint but decided to give them a try anyway and I'm so glad I did because I received such great service and have found a repair center I can really trust.

Tashriq was super knowledgeable in explaining everything to me, friendly and I could see he really cares about his clients. They offered to let me keep the old bearings as proof and they went the extra mile in their service.

I'm very happy with the result. My car runs smoother now, had a great clean and included was a 12 month guarantee on the job. I'm thrilled :)

Highly recommend!

I had the misfortune of having repairs done by this company, aka The Garage, and am still waiting for a part that is available from the agents within 2 days and this has been going on for several weeks.
Shocking service. Shocking attitude. Do not believe anything that you are told by Shaheed, Alan, Tashriq or Tobie.

Vehicle was taken in for repairs. Repairs were not done correctly. Vehicle is now in for the 4th time and I have had no feedback since I took it in on Monday 22 June at 08h00. They are quick to take your vehicle, quick to take your money but once you have paid they could not care less.

I booked my car in for the clutch. After 1 hour passed I got a call and was told that my clutch was completely messed up and that my car could not get generic parts for it and that they would need to get the part straight from Toyota. It cost me R9000 after endless \issues". When I collected my car and not knowing that much about cars thought the problem was sorted. I asked my cousin to drive the car and tell me if everything was fine. He asked me did they even change the clutch? I went back and told them there was still something wrong with the clutch and that the car was shaking when pulling away while driving. I got a call and was told that my plugs were faulty and gearbox mounting was loose. Eventually I told them leave everything. The one guy called me back and lied to me like there was nothing wrong. Salie called and said that he would do the gearbox mounting for free and I would just need to pay for the plugs (R650). When I collected the car I paid for the plugs so I could just get my car and get out of there. I could feel that the clutch was much better than before. My pertrol had been used and I was supposed to get a report from Salie but never received anything."""

Car went in for repairs and was supposedly ready on Saturday 9 May 2015. After payment was made I tried to drive off but engine was misfiring badly. After nearly 2 weeks and endless promises of the car being ready the next day, they still have the car and the money.

I bought a groupon and booked my car for a service. Wednesday the 4th of March i took in my car in the morning and i wrote on the one pager that was given to me to sign that no additional work must be done without consent. During the day i received a phone call detailing some faults and some bargaining ensued but i said no.

I collected my car just after 4pm and my car's battery was dead for some odd reason. After they charged it, i started driving home. The car began making a lot of noise so i decided to turn around and go back to the workshop.

I inquired about noise and the manager dismissed me telling me all they did was a service. I refused to leave and they ask a guy to check my car. He looked at the car and suddenly walked to the wheels and started tightening the wheels
