These guys are on the ball. Very quick service, quick feedback and if they say it will be sorted, you can bet on it. I have worked with both Zolani and Morne and I have no reason to complain. Thanx a mill for your help guys, I appreciate it
The last tripple decker I bought at the Centurion Lifestyle centre was a real disappointment but then I decided to give them another go, but instead of going all out, just back to the basics. Something meaty double stack at the Northmead Branch. What a good choice, lovely pizza and I actually got a decent amount of cream cheese between the layers. Thanx guys
Cozy and comfortable. For a nice break away not directly in Clarens town but still close enough not to be miles away, this is a very comfortable stay for couples. Quite amazing how much can be fitted into these units, with your own little outside area, lovely kitchen. A stone throw from the Laundromat. A very nice stay.
With Clarens town being on their own timeline purely because it is such a small town, some restaurants are only open specific days and for specific times. Make sure to book a spot at Clementines. For a fine dining experience that seems only real on TV, this is definitely a must go. The food is precisely plated on your dish, it looks so beautiful that you don't even want to eat it. Then you taste it, and it is magic. For the fine diners out there, treat yourself to a meal at this restaurant.
For a proper German experience, from the writing of the menu, tasking the beer and then the German food. This is a must stop for dinner. They also have a very nice "Bakery" section that has a wide variety of sweets and treats that you can buy. Definitely worth a stop, great view from the deck as well.
From start to finish, this is the place to have a meal. If you are not very hungry, they can fill the spot, if you are starving, they can fix you up. Their meat dishes are an absolute blast, especially my favorite - THE EISBEIN. Lamb curry is 5 star quality, pizza is perfectly crisp and delicious. You will not be disappointed in making a food stop here.
If you feel like having a BURGER and chips, this is the place to go. Make sure to go hungry or you will have to carry a doggy bag afterwards. There is always a buzz at the Brewery and looking at the burgers and chips, its no wonder why. Good Food, Good drinks and a good view.
2019 was a good year to have lunch / dinner at this restaurant, you could even treat the barman to spice up some G&T ****tails and surprise you with their combinations, but sadly when ne ownership took over, the menu left the door as well. Early 2020 we had dinner there and it was not a good experience from the start. We had the option of only graft G&T and our pork chops were way over done. 2021 we did not consider stopping for a meal, just in case. Maybe we will try again in 2022.
We have booked accommodation through Lekkeslaap for many years, but in Jun 2021 we had a traumatising experience with V'Kansi Khaya. As dog lovers we are aware that there are units / establishments that do not accept dogs in their accommodation and we always make sure to check for this. We booked a 4 night stay at V'Kanzi Khaya's chalet that does not specify that they do not accept dogs (only the studio unit specifically states that dogs are not allowed). We paid in full, and arrived at the unit. After unpacking everything, we realised that we were short a room and requested the owner to please unlock the room. Upon arrival, Andre opened the door and I said he must just be careful that the dog does not come out. Andre closed the door and very rudely informed me that they do not allow pets in the chalet. I apologised immediately, as we were not aware that they do not accept pets as nothing was stipulated on the description of the unit. Andre walked away instructing me to phone Lekkeslaap and sort it out. Andre refused to give us a refund as it was our mistake for booking the unit. We panicked and immediately started packing up, packed the car and left the premises within 30 minutes, only to realise it was 16:00 in the afternoon on a public holiday before a long weekend in Clarens and we had nowhere to go. Left stranded with the option of waiting for feedback from Lekkeslaap on what we can do now, or trying to see if by any chance we can find alternative accommodation or we have to return to Jhb and make sure we get home before the lockdown curfew. All the shock kicked in at once and we were stranded with no assistance of any kind, no refund to pay for alternative accommodation if we were lucky enough to find alternative accommodation. With it being so late in the afternoon already, we were willing to lose 1 night's money but requested the rest of our money be refunded to us to pay for alternative accommodation, but Andre blatantly just refused to try and assist in any way. Andre's only response was 'Why should I lose money' - according to him we were the ones that had made the mistake - BUT the description of the unit does not indicate that pets are not allowed. How can this be fair? In any industry, what you see is what you get, what is advertised is what you purchase?
