Awesome school that can change our country.

<div>I am seriously impressed with this school. Contrary to what the name may suggest, this is a government school, not a private school. The school has just been awarded the distinction of officialy being recognised as a maths and science focused school, something our country seriously needs. This was only accomplished by the dedication and drive of the principal and the staff at the school and their passion for teaching. The dedication of the teachers are commendable. They are prepared to come in after hours and on weekends to assist with extra classes. Even the principal still teaches (science) to stay in contact with the learners and her subject area. My last child finishes matric in 2020 and I believe that my kids have been adequately prepared to tackle the real world. The school does not spoonfeed learners (i.e. coach kids to pass matric so they can brag about a 100% pass rate) but trains them to be critical thinkers and problem solvers. I believe Protea Heights Academy will make a significant impact in South Africa in terms of developing young people that will change the word.</div>
