No Exchanges
I clicked on a Facebook ad for a company called Bietjie Van Alles ZA to order a jersey I liked the look of. In order to place the order, I needed to click on a Whatsapp link on their Facebook page. I went into the whatsapp and asked about the size i.e. if lose or tight fit and if they had my size. They did. I asked for an invoice so I could make the payment. I made the payment. No where on the Facebook ad, or the post on their Facebook page nor the invoice stated no exchanges. The jersey eventually arrived and looks nothing like the picture first of all, but second of all it is completely out of shape and way too big. I contacted the person on whatsapp and stated that I wasn't happy and that I was happy to pay the R80 courier to get it back to them, but could they please then reimburse me with the money for the jersey (R430). I was told at this point that they do not do exchanges. I raised this with her and said that I was not aware of this as it was not on the Facebook ad or on the invoice. She said that because I made payment to her, that I had "agreed to the terms and conditions". I asked her where the terms and conditions were - she said that they were on her whatsapp profile. I told her that she should really point this all out to people as the ad and invoice does not say anything and these were my two points of interaction. She said that it was also on a post she had posted - not linked to any ad or anything - a random post - and I asked her why would I go looking for a post with this information if it wasn't linked to anything I was already engaging with. The point is that the jersey is massive, and out of shape and doesn't look anything like the picture. She is not budging and won't refund me. I posted the jersey on Facebook asking if anyone wanted to buy it from me - and of course everyone is like "it doesn't even look like the picture". I find this completely unacceptable. Thank you for the brilliant service
Just wanted to give feedback on Christa. She has been so patient with me. As you know buying a house is a big deal and can be rather stressful. She has made me feel comfortable that she had everything under control and someone I can trust.
