Had a claim with Discovery and Waidler was appointed to retrieve information from the my car's black box. My claim was rejected due to the information provided in Waidler's report which alleged that I was doing speeds almost twice the speeds I stated to have been doing. Luckily I have the tracker and the Discovery Insure sensor data that show speeds closer to my own statements. Waidler dazzles you with a report full of arbitrary numbers and then thumb sucks a conclusion. Absolute ******!
I filled in sent in a cancellation form on the 28th of April. My contract(8ta) had expired in Feb and I was left only paying for the data (R99). I got an email on the same day saying it would take 21 business days. And 4 days later on the 2nd of may I was debited R99. I'm not sure if that was to pay for April or for may but I didn't care because I expected that to be my last payment especially since I wasn't given/ nor did I use any data during the month of May and believed it was all sorted out. On the 4th of June (certainly over 21 business days later) I get a CASE NUMBER ( ********** 2), When I'm expecting to get confirmation that I was migrated back to prepaid and my contract was cancelled. At this time my SIM card is still receiving no data/services, I know this because I tried goggling something almost every other day on my commute but to no avail and since my bank account is empty (life of a student) I don't pay the case number any mind not realising the failed attempted debits from telkom mobile. Fast forward to the end of July and I'm able to afford some data due to doing an internship so I purchase directly from my banking app onto my sim because my SIM card hasn't had any data on it since April. I wouldn't have bought data if it did as I only ever use that data on this sim on my commute home (where there's wifi) from work (where there's wifi) or to University(where there's wifi). I had loaded about 500mb of data and in a week it had expired and I thought maybe I had made some mistake and loaded a further 500mb only to find out that my number had been blocked and that I owed over R500 !!! I phoned about 3 times and got absolutely nowhere with the customer service. All I was told at every turn is that there's nothing I can do but pay the outstanding amount. How can I owe money when I haven't been getting the service?? And even if I was getting data (which I was not because I checked countless times). Telkom mobile keeps trying to debit me monthly and I keep blocking them and every month the balance goes up over R100!!! It's now at over R600 and for what reason?? Does no one competent work at Telkom?? I can't just give away my money away because that's what I would be doing as I'm being charged for a service never provided!!

1st.

Telkom sold me a Huawei LTE contract under false pretenses so as soon as I realized this and without ever using or opening it, about 2 days after, I sent it back. They then refunded me the delivery money they debited and I thought that was that... Then a month later, they debited R275 from me for a Huawei account and when I called to get my money back, they endlessly passed me around between Telkom and their mobile section but NO ONE was ever able to resolve my issue. When and how do I get my money back?? This is ridiculous!!

2nd.

I have an uncapped 2mb line from Telkom which I pay R600p/m for and around may 2015 I called wanting to get it upgraded to 4mb, for which I got quoted about R790p/m. I accepted the deal and that was that. Fast forward to December 2015, I decided to downgrade my 4mb line back to 2mb because we had noticed no increase in speeds between the old 2mb line and the new 4mb.

Now all this time, Telkom would only debit R600/R650 from me every month which lead me to concluded that they probably didn't process my 4mb upgrade to begin with and I should contact them ASAP and tell them never mind in case they were still working on upgrading my line.

Around 10 days in the new year 2016, Telkom turned my Wi-Fi line off and when I phoned to find out why, I was told that I owed just under R3000 to get my line reactivated (which I paid). I found out that this was because I was being charged for both a 2mb line (which should have been cancelled) and a 4mb line when I decided to upgrade but only the 2mb line was active. I further found out that Telkom was only allowed to debit around R600 from my account for some reason and the rest was just being carried over hence the unchanged debit order amount. Furthermore, I was told that my actual monthly adsl cost was over R1000 which is ridiculous because I would never have agreed to pay that much for the internet.

So I want to know why I had to pay just under R3000 to reactivate my line for a service I never actually received and why no one over at Telkom has been able to resolve my issues??? I've phoned Telkom countless times, each time having to explain my situation to no avail. I've gotten case numbers promising to follow up with my queries and the received text messages that my queries were resolved when no such thing had happened.

The one time I got close to getting any answers was some call center lady found out that Telkom did owe me a refund but that cash isn't refunded, and it would be added to my credit.

But how do I ever get any credit when my account is still debited monthly like clockwork???

A few months ago I was mislead into a mobile talk LTE contract and upon realizing that it wasn't the product I had agreed to subscribe to, I returned it immediately.

After doing their investigation, Mobile talk even went and refunded me the R150 delivery/whatever cost they had debited from my account. Fast forward to February 1 2016, I was debited R275 more than what i usually pay for my 8ta contract and when inquiring why, I was told it was for the Huawei LTE line that I was subscribed to.

Now I've phoned all branches of telkom since and haven't been making any progress. They keep passing me on to the next department, having me repeat my situation and then proceed to giving me a reference number with the promise of an agent getting back to be. To this day, I've had zero calls from any such agent.

WTF Mobile Talk, this makes no sense!!! Why am I being billed for a service I don't have???
I was phoned by a mobile talk agent regarding a new LTE contract. I was told the LTE line would be uncapped, at speeds of over 90Mbps, could connect at over 30 Meters to over 20 machines and would only cost me R499/pm. I asked about three different times if the line would be uncapped & the agent said yes. Since I was already planning to upgrade my 2Mb uncapped line from Telkom, at R600/pm, I accepted the deal (no-brainer).

About three weeks later, my package arrived so I took out the receipt and it read, 20Gig/pm x 24 at the cost of R399/pm.

This was obviously not what was sold to me, so I decided to rather just upgrade my existing 2Mb line to 4 Mbs & I phoned mobile Talk to cancel the contract. The agent I was speaking to asked if we could listen to the call together but I declined because I remembered how it all went and didn't have the time.
He then basically told me that if I had been misled, which I obviously was, I wouldn't be charged the R150 delivery fee & since I hadn't opened the wrapper around the router box either, I wasn't worried.

Fast forward to three days ago on the 19th/12/2015 a debit order of R150 went off from Mobile Talk & I'd like to know why??
I had ordered a parcel on line as I often have done in the past with little to no issue, but this time around a parcel that i had ordered (leather backpack) arrived in the country and by the time it had reached the post office, the only thing left was the packaging once containing a parcel. I contacted the seller and we came to the conclusion that this was a SAPO issue.

The staff at SAPO sunninghill said they had already filed a report and would contact me soon. In the mean time, I tried calling and when I couldn't reach anyone after countless attempts, on 29 September 2015 I sent [Email Removed] an email about the matter.

I've been waiting for contact regarding their investigation of my \lost"parcel and I'm still to hear a single bit of news.
It's like I'm throwing money away.
"""
