Local IT Guy
Had all sorts of problems with the internet in my house. The previous guy had left a mess of cables and the signal was intermittent. Once Thabo Hlongwane had ruled out a Vumatel problem, he set about sorting out the cable mess and got my network working in all the rooms at maximum speed. Very happy. Very professional service.

Efficient lock service
Greg organized his guys who arrived in the promised time. Quirky lock replaced in a few minutes. Very impressed.

Pathetic online service.
Placed an online order on the Monday. R2000+ was deducted almost immediately and delivery was due on the Thursday afternoon up to 5.00pm. Now 5.43pm. Nothing. Tried calling customer service at 5.14pm. Switchboard was closed despite them saying it would be closed from 5.30pm. Pathetic and I note that they not answer any complaints on Hello Peter.

Quick and Efficient
Alvin and Forty came on a Sunday (by appointment!) and fixed a 3m wall mounted washline for us. Quick, efficient and very pleasant to deal with. Very happy.

Customer Care Line - a joke
Wanted to get charcoal filters for a cookerhood. Have now rung Customer Care Line ( ********** ) four times....I get the switchboard operator each time...then it either rings off or when I push 1 (for spares) it rings and rings until it cuts off. Pathetic. What amazes me is the number of complaints on Hello Peter but Defy seemingly ignore what their customers are saying.

Suchtech Elevators - Problem
Found them on the net...to repair a dumb waiter. They quoted, I accepted, paid a deposit and then paid the balance after they completed the work. The day after, it wouldn't work ...sent them an email because their phone numbers weren't answered. Tried again and again. Eventually got hold of them...said they were on their way. Never pitched. Emails not answered. Phones not being answered. They have my money....dumb waiter not working. Very, very unhappy.
