Terrible service from Parthenon Dry Cleaners, Rondebosch
I am no longer recommending, or giving Parthenon Dry Cleaners in Rondebosch, my business. In the past year, my bedding was returned with blue washing (liquid?) stains, and they blamed it on their washing machines. The staff refused to take responsibility for it and had a bad attitude and grudgingly agreed when I asked them to bleach the stained goods. The next time I brought my duvet cover to their laundry, it came back with small holes and cuts in it in one corner - as if the door of their front loader had caught on it. I showed them the photos of this, and asked them to respond. Not possible, the owner was overseas. By the time a month later, he had returned, and with subsequent washes my duvet cover disintegrated because of these holes. They have refused to replace it. In the past I've also experienced a loss of a clothing item given to them to wash, which they refused to replace. Terrible service.

Kind people at R.I.Pets
My dog died and I didn't want his remains in an urn, but a box. R.I. Pets were wonderfully compassionate with my request, and a beautifully wrapped box came, with his remains. Thank you!

Rcaffe ripoff you pay before getting bill
I went to R Caffe on Long Street for a coffee and a meal. There are no coffee prices on the menu, nor underneath the types of coffee advertised on the wall. I asked for a price from the waiter, for a latte and I was told R24, after I insisted he asked the manager, because he had said \around R30\". I accepted this and ordered one and my meal. The latte came in a cup so badly chipped on the handle it dug into my hand. I sent it back and waited and waited. It came. So did the meal. Ok. I requested the bill. It didn't arrive. I went to the woman behind the till and requested my bill. She wouldn't give me one. She said she had many orders and was busy. She quoted a rather round R80 and took my card. I paid. Only then did she give me the bill. I was charged R28 for the latte, and I was charged a R7,00 \"Service charge\". If everybody gets ripped off in this way, she will be coining it. I left, and am now taking further action. "
