Not worth a 1 star. These people are the worst to deal with. Our agent has been neglectful for month by not responding to emails & allow the electricity to be cut off due to his negligence. I have rented for 16 years at this point, and never in my life have I had this amount of hassle with any agencies. Rawson Properties in Capetown - Specifically Justin Van Eeden is a piece of ****, and needs to be neutered.
So this happened 2 weeks ago I called my ISP on sunday to find out why my internet is not working after returning from a weekend away. They told me there is nothing wrong on their side, and asked me if the FX light is flashing on my CPE. I told them no, and they promptly logged a call with Vumatel and gave me the refference number, telling me they cant fix it, vuma needs to investigate the line. Since it was Sunday, i didn't bother following up with the reference. I knew the call was logged so i didn't stress too much. Monday came, luckily i was off for the day and could attend to the technicians when they come to my house. Im not rich so i dont have a domestic cleaning my house, thus there is no one at home during the day. Called them 4 times during monday, every 2 hours asking when the techs would show up. Every time they said the techs are on their way, they will give me a call when they are close or arrived. Fine i said, and waited. Monday 5pm i called them again asking when they will be here, the operator told me that they will only be here tomorrow (Tuesday). I then told them i am not at home tomorrow morning, and they should send out a tech that evening. No one came. Tuesday arrived and i get a call from one of their techs at 7:30 AM, telling me they want to come through. I told them what i told the operator the previous day, that i am on my way to work and there is no one to open for them. Thus they must come during that evening. The evening came, no one showed up. Wednesday comes, i go to work, don't even bother calling them as this has proved useless and frustrating in the past. 8:30 i get a call from my roommate who was running late for work, telling me they are at the house. Without calling me, without notifying me at all, they just pitch up. Luckily he was there to open for them, and was very late for work consequently. This totals 4 days without internet for me, in my line of work, this is a lot of money lost. So thanks for nothing Vumatel, or should i say Telkom v2
Our car broke down just after the tollgate on the N3 basically inside the town of Villiers. We got the number from the highway patrol and called in for assistance. Within 3 minutes a tow truck showed up and our car was inspected, alternator seemed to have been the issue and the battery ran out. We then got towed into town (another 5 minute drive) and they started removing engine parts to get to the alternator. Without any indication of hint of what it will cost me after numerous times asked. They then left and came back 30 minutes later with a black alternator, mine was silver. So i asked the Auto electrician if it was new and he promptly replied yes. But i later found that it was merely spray painted black. After about an hour the car was sorted and ready to go, then i got the invoice of R4350. I couldn't believe it, for a 5 minute tow and an hours work on my car not even replacing the alternator i got ripped off badly. PS. They do have beds you can sleep in if you cant pay, but to rent the bed costs 400 rands a night.<br>
