Brick n Board Hell

Two major problems with Brick n Board:<br> <br> 1. Absolutely horrendous workmanship and no supervision of sub-contractors employed by them<br> 2. Absolutely no communication, except when they are trying to convince you that there isn't a problem with their shoddy workmanship or when they want something from you<br> <br> With regard to no 1:<br> <br> Face brick work looks horrible - mortar joint sizes varies, broken and cracked brick, toothing done incorrectly. Inadequate mortar between bricks, clogged cavity walls, incorrect placement of wall ties - house completely not insulated from environment. Incorrect placement of door and windows - not according to plan.<br> <br> With regard to no 2:<br> <br> You will not be able to move into your property at the time they promise you verbally. Heard of people waiting 12 months, I'm on track for longer. They'll refuse to address obvious issues until forced to do so by NHBRC, they will try to convince you that you are wrong and that there is nothing wrong with their product, better start talking to the NHBRC as soon as possible.<br> <br> If you are considering Burgundy Brackenfell, please consider one of the other builders building in the area.<br> I only wish someone warned me.
