I was just angry that I pay R1.90 for calls and R0.50 for sms but discovering that prepaid users actually pay R0.79 for calls. This means that I am paying more than two times just because I am a contract user. This is broad-daylight-robbery. What convenience does being on a contract bring then???

I have a cellphone contract with Vodacom on a uChoose Flexi 150 plan. I don't really make that many calls so the R150 usually last me the entire month and I don't top up. This month though I was making a lot of calls and the R150 was finished in two weeks. So I was forced to recharge, which I did but every single time I recharged I would make a few calls and the airtime would be finished. At first I thought maybe there was a subscription or a scam. Then I called the customer service centre and enquired how much am I being billed per call. I was given the duration of the individual calls I had made and the amount that was charged per individual call. Then I queried the amount that is charged per minute because the amount that the Consultant advised was charged per call was ridiculous. Both the Consultant and myself calculated and discovered that I am not being billed R1.80 per minute for my calls. The query was logged on 24/11/2016 Ref: 1- ********** 16717, no response received to date.

My biggest worry was that from the begin of the contract I was not billed R1.80 per minute for my calls and I have been paying more since 2013 when I took the contract. Seeing that I was not getting a response from Vodacom I decided to investigate and went into to my online profile so I can take a look at my plan. Well I discovered that actually I am being charged R1.90 per minute for calls and R0.50 per sms, this is out-of-bundle rates whatever that means which left me with even more questions. When they say out-of-bundle rates do they mean that in general that is what I'm being charged or when I run out of airtime from my plan than I start paying this R1.90 for calls and R0.50 for sms, which brought even more questions in my mind why am I paying R0.10 more for calls and R0.05 more for sms from the norm. Is it than not better to be on prepaid than on contract if you pay more, what's the benefit of being on a contract.

This is information that should be communicated loudly that contract users are charged more than prepaid users and that is why I feel like I have been riffed off for the past 3 years.

In my case Verdiva used Sage Pay to access my account without my consent. The police should really investigate this company. How do they get our banking details in the first place is just beyond me because I do not recall receiving any calls from them or giving them my information. Something needs to be done about this company.
