These people are scammers: https://www.gadgetstoretrading.co.za/index.php?rt=content/contact. They say on the website that they use Paypal but when you pay they don't have a Paypal account yet. Send you invoices and rush you but when it comes to delivery they don't produce the articles. Even got fake testimonials. Bunch of frauds. Learnt a very expensive lesson. Going to register a fraud case against them.
Telkom the most useless communications provider. Battling the past 2 years with the poorest of poor ADSL connection. Internet dropouts galore. Can not use the internet because every 5 minutes the internet disconnects. Had technician several times but they keep on blaming my hardware which has been replaced and the fault still persists. Blaming my ISP but the ISP say it is "lost carrier fault" which is eventually a copper wire fault. Even had a test modem on a Telkom test account and still experienced internet disconnections. I am already so frustrated, logging fault on fault and it gets logged as repaired but the fault still persists or even worse and nothing gets done to clear the fault. What a terrible service. Telkom needs to be kicked out the telecommunications field and start using drums to communicate.
Telkom can not repair a faulty ADSL line. Have been reporting this issue many times over the past 2 years, Internet keeps dropping of and I have even bought a new modem/router but that was not the issue at all. It is a line fault somewhere between the telephone pole and the exchange and it is not been fixed. This is a terrible show of a once excellent business which is just been run down into the ground with absolutely useless ratings. I honestly will give them a -100 out of 10 rating as that is what they deserve. Taking days before they respond to a fault logging. 20 years ago it was like going to report a fault at the Telkom shop and they repaired it before you got back home. Now they do a line test and it shows clear on their report but I still have issues. I report it and it gets "repaired" and the fault still persists. How many more times must I report a fault before something gets done?
I am having a mega dose of internet dropouts on my ADSL line. Had my ISP do some tests and they have a whole list of "lost carrier" ADSL disconnects. There is also a lot of noise on the telephone line and when somebody phones to my Telkom landline the internet also drops out, and I have a line filter installed. This problem is going on for many months now, had Telkom technicians to check everything but the problem does not get fixed. I also bought a new modem/router and still getting the same internet dropouts, as much as 10 to more than 20 a day and some connections lasting a few seconds at a time. This is really annoying now and starting to lose confidence in Telkom. Can the technicians change my cable between the telephone pole and exchange as there is a lot of noise on the telephone line which could also indicate water damage to the telephone cable. There is no problem with the cable from the telephone pole to the telephone and modem/router. That has been checked many times and fixed even though it was not broken.
What a useless service provided by Telkom. Internet dropping out and no telephone. Technician has been checking the fault on my telephone line. But fault still persists. I even bought a new modem router but still the same fault. When will Telkom ever be able to fix their useless telephone service that I can have a stable internet connection and a good telephone service?
Finally got my telephone and ADSL working after complaining at Telkom shop. But the problem of internet dropouts still persist. Cable faults still not fixed. Will never recommend Telkom for telephone and internet. Worst service ever experienced.
No repairs to telephone lines not working. Since Tuesday morning not working and already Friday and still no technician to repair the fault. I have already cancelled all my appointments waiting for the technician but no show after he phoned to confirm that I am at home.
Telkom technician not arriving to repair faulty telephone after phoning to confirm I am at home. This is the poorest show from Telkom side. Struggling already from Tuesday morning till Thursday without telephone and internet. Already reported the fault several times and still no show. And then I must pay for a service that I can't use. That does not work out.And if I don't pay for the service then my telephone gets cut and I get a bad credit record from Telkom. That is not the way to work.
Terrible rotten service. Telephone line dead before a holiday and nobody to fix the problem. Who must pay a service not available to use? Telephone cables damaged and the technicians know about the damage and yet nothing gets done about the damaged lines. Now I have to battle without telephone and internet. Not impressed. When will this rubbish service be fixed? Maybe after a month or two? If I have to fix something, it must work and if it breaks again then it must be fixed to a better condition, but that is not Telkom's motto.
I am having problems with my ADSL. Regular dropouts, about 6 to 12 times in a 24 hr period. Had my ISP do a diagnostics and they came up with the problem being the copper line having an issue: "Upon looking closely at your profile I found that the cause of the disconnections is a "lost carrier" suggesting that the issue lies with the physical copper line" and then I have reported the problem to Telkom many times and it is never been resolved. The Telkom technician comes to my home and says it my ISP which I doubt. I have had my ISP do several tests and diagnostics on the line and it points to a line problem. And then the Telkom technician also mentioned that there is damage on the telephone line, but nothing gets done to repair the damaged line. My neighbour is complaining about the same problem regularly. If this issue is not resolved soon I am taking this matter much further and exposing what terrible Telkom SA is providing. I expect this matter to be taken very seriously to be resolved quickly and I don't want to hear "It is the ISP at fault." excuse.
