What and impossible, unapologetic, inconsiderate bunch of people to get along with. All they care about is your money, no regard for after sales service, customer satisfaction.....nothing. I will never purchase anything from them ever again.
So I setlled my Standard Bank Mastercard in February 2015.<br> I recieved the settlement letter from SB confirming that the account is settled and has been closed.<br> Imagine my surprise to find out that I am listed on ITC for the same credit card.<br> One year after the fact, SB puts me on ITC for a balance owing on the account - How's that possible? They confirmed in writing that the account was closed.<br> So I call the Legal Dept. and speak with Bonisile Khoza. She was yawning while speaking to me - just fyi.<br> Says that the person who handled the settlement did not complete the process - How's that my problem?<br> Says I have to wait 5 working days to get the account closed - AGAIN??<br> Says I have to wait 14 days for ITC to update thereafter - WHAAATTT??<br> <br> All this time SB shows no remorse for their stuff ups, offers you no apology for the huge inconvenience and then to top it all off, have the nerve to still be yawning while you're speaking to them.<br> This is what they mean by \SIMPLER, BETTER, FASTER\"<br> "
It happens that Standard Bank Card Division overcharges its customers. <br> I paid in full and instructed SB to close my account. Once this has been done, send me a settlement letter. I was promised the letter within 5 working days. After 10 days, I had not recieved the letter as requested. I was told that the account could not be closed as the account has a credit balance. This was a surprise. I was told that they had made a mistake and that the money would be refunded in 5 working days. After 5 days, nothing happened. I called back. I was told that Shiraz had not captured the data correctly and that the process will have to begin again. Megan Parker was very apologetic and assured me that she would now be handling the matter personally and would not quit till the refund was complete. This was not the case and it never happened. 12 weeks later - no refund. Nobody knows why. Nobody knows what they are doing and are quick to make promises that never materialise. They say ignorance is bliss, but Standard Bank takes it to another level, incompetent, unskilled, bungling fools. Simpler, Better, Faster.
