<p>The waiting time at this branch is atrocious. I came in at 11:20am today (05 October 2016) to collect my bank card and was only served at 12:24pm.</p> <p> </p> <p>There were only two people assisting the customer service queue from the time I got in until about 11:50am during which time the queue barely moved. Another agent came through at 11:50a, but there were four available stations.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like to compare this situation to my recent visit to Standard Bank Bedford Centre where I was apologised to on my arrival because there was an estimated waiting time of 15 to 20min.</p> <p> </p> <p>I would hate to think that the difference in service standards is related to the difference in the demographics that the two bank branches serve, This is especially due to the fact the majority of patrons at the Standard Bank Midrand (Boulders) are wage and low salary earners who do not have the luxury of taking 2 hour lunch breaks due to the bank's lack of respect for their time.</p> <p> </p> <p>I sincerely hope that the message does not fall on deaf ears and adequate measures are taken to ensure that this doesn't continue to happen at this branch.</p> <p> </p> <p>Regards,</p> <p>Ziki</p>

The department of home affairs has the cellphone numbers of their contacts at the various offices. I called Tsakani Hlungwani's cell number not expecting much but I was received by a very helpful and patient woman (Tsakani Hlungwani who answered my query right away.
