<p>since th eUK law was passed some 4-5yrs ago I have been trying...along with 5 separate financial advisor companies, to get my pesion money from sitting idle in their account, transferred into a policy where it can actually work for me. They have done everything possible from persistenly asking for the same form to be completed, to misguiding processes, to inventing processes, to ignoring communciation or simply not communicating..in order to avoid the transfer. This is quite simply disgusting behavour and should be illegal. I still have not managed to complete the task with the latest company throwing in the towel...again. Sun Life Financial of Canada are a bunch of rotten thieving ***s and I hope they all die a miserable and painful death. Dont invest money with these guys, youll never see it again</p>
<p>The law changed some years ago in the UK allowing UK citizens residing outside of the UK to transfer previously invested pension funds. This gives them control of their money and allows them to reinvest. </p> <p>Unless of course your pension money was invested with Sun Life ( in this case Sun Life Financial of Canada) who do everything possible to not let you transfer your money away from their all but useless funds. I have been trying now for over 2 yrs and keep going round in the same circle of lies and BS...please complete forms, then once done they ask for the same information again claiming they dont have it...then they want it in a different format, then they claim that fields were missing - they have been proved to have been lying and yet they have nothing to say…just make another request…all in an attempt to restrict you from getting at your funds. They refuse to do anything to assist…they will not communicate in any way shape or form aside from snail mail that took 3 months last time and had a letter that was of no use what so ever.</p> <p>For over 20yrs the money has been in their possession and they have advised and done nothing to increase its value, just stood in the way when ever I have tried to get at it. Investment company HA B*llSh*ters and thieves more like. At some point in the near future im going to take that value of funds, invest in an air ticket, go up to their desk and ring their lousy F*ckin necks…bunch of parasites…starting with a mr Jon S****s.</p>
<p>I had a cell phone stolen. It is a pre paid number. I called 173…but there is no function for this any more. I went into a store and they said they cannot help as it is pre paid. Call 173. I called 173 and was directed to ********** . I called ********** and the numbers have changed and the function is no longer there, so I dialled 0 for assistance. I waited 12mins for assistance and was told they cannot help as it is pre paid and they are contract only. So, they said they will put me through to p repaid. I requested, please do not put me through to a queue. They put me through to a queue. I waited 24mins…no answer. I had to hang up and then tried again later…I waited 36mins in a queue and still no answer...I logged several calls online (Block number [# ********** 9]) Still no answer. The phone is still in use and the number still not blocked…Well done MTN, by saving a few rands on call centre agents and putting a decent support desk in place, you have really helped the criminals get away with more crime.</p>
So...after reporting an issue to MTN 17th May 2015 and receiving no response at all until I contacted this site...I eventually get this:<br> Thank you for taking the time to write to us via the Hello Peter website. I have three numbers with MTN. Contract for my phone (350), Data for my Tab, Pay as you go for my Daughter. My daughters phone loses credit without being used. I reported this and got no response other than the no reply mail issuing a ref: MTN REQ:5078091 It hap[pened gain...same response. Reported it to a branch - they gave me a USSD to check subscription - the number is subscribed to nothing. So where are the credits going? Clearly MTN have no interest in resolving this so I am now going to close all my accounts.
