I took up a contract with Vumatel in 2021, they took forever to install but were quick to start start with the debit order from my account. The installed wifi service worked for a few minutes and has not worked since. I have tried to get in contact with this company but there are no human being working there that you can speak to or escalate the problem with. I've been directed to their whatsapp line but they don't respond on that line either. It always times out because there's no one responding to messages. I've asked for this service to be cancelled but they can't get that right either. I'm at a loss for words and so frustrated with Vumatel.
I picked a brand new phone from Vodacom maponya mall which turned to be damaged. The sensor was not functioning properly. I returned to the store to tell them about this after one day and was told that it was fixed after the consultant deleted most of the applications from the phone. I returned to the store again after two days to report that I was not happy with the phone and that my airtime was getting exhausted because the sensor was not working properly. I was told to go to vodacare, which I did and they couldn't help me. I was advised to take the phone back to the store and that they were supposed to exchange the phone since it was a 'box damage'. When I went back again the consultant called the store manager to explain the situation and he agreed to exchange the phone for another one but said that I had to bring the box back as well. Upon returning ton the store with the original box, the manager said he won't exchange it but will send it for repairs cos I failed to return it withithe first 7 days. He has totally ignored the fact that in have returned the phone twice within the 7 day period. I also have one of the consultants as my witness. I'm so disappointed at the manager.
