Since lockdown started, the Smart Idea Groupo has been hounding me for a payment they claim we never made. We have established with them and agreed that there was no such payment outstanding. They have subsequently deducted double and triple the debit orders in as many months. This is not the beginning of the problems with these thieves. Right at the start of the contractual arrangement they sold us the fact that we would own our printer outright at the end of the terms. We signed the document that stated as much and a few days later received another to sign. That second contract stated that we would pay 5k a month for 6 years and still not own the printer that costs 120K. The explanation we received was that because we were a start-up that Pansolutions/Smart Idea Group couldn't get funding for us the normal way and had to outsource those funds. We took it as a learning curve and forgot about it. For many years we have tried to get the Smart Idea Group to take back their printer which was underutilised and brand new, they refused and rather wanted to sign us onto another contract for a smaller machine for a longer-term. We refused this as they only presented this as an option in the final year of our agreement. Throughout the term of the contract we requested our machine to be serviced as that was part of the contract. The machine still prints poorly and is of no use to us. Every time they come out they try to fix it and never do. They don't know how to connect the automatic counter and reporting to Macs, and make it our problem to solve. To anyone ever looking to buy or rent a printer from these fraudsters, please don't, rather save yourself the headaches, the time and money and go to a local printer to get your stuff done. I hope they learn from this and that the authorities get a whiff of it as this "industry" needs to be heavily regulated and The Smart Idea Group to close down for good.
After many years with years with this insipid brand, they have given me another reason on top of the many others as to why they should lose every customer they have to their incompetence and general lack of respect for customers. I have tried to follow the "prefered" processes to cancel my account since Februrary this year, I have received account statements which state that my account was in credit. But as the failing telco has again lived up to its reputation, they claim I owe them again for a service which should have been cancelled a long time ago. I have paid the said amount to Nudebt and dealt with many others before, but now the amount is higher than the stated amount which i paid on the same day. Surely they cannot charge you interest on an amount that was settled 5 minutes after the SMS claiming the payable amount was sent. I reccomend that evryone remove themselves from from this corrupt and failing telco's services. Thank you Telkom from letting everyone down asd usual
We have been struggling with Telkom for a year now due to their incompetence and fraud. Over a 3 month period 2,5 weeks of my time was spent on the phone to Telkom sort out their issues. When finally after losing our minds and appealing to some of their call centre agents good nature we finally got a simple thing done. But now, after going instore on 3 occassions to cancel a adsl line 3 months ago, we hear today that our business line is suspended due to funds being in arrears. The funds they are asking for is the adsl line that we cancelled three times instore. They are one of the worst service providers in this country and possibly the world, second only to an ice deliveryman in the Sahara. We have tried all avenues to get HELKOM to sort out these issues and now we have to resort to this. If they only sort out this problem now after this post, it would be another stain in their cheap pay-per-hour motel bed sheets of integrity, a stain that by all accounts is probably no difference than a flies droppings on a turd.

Glad I got that off my chest.

Come on Telkom, fix it, I dare you.
