I'm glad i can warn unsuspecting customers and write the review i was looking for before i bought this product from That's Geek. I bought a Kotobukiya Marvel Comics ArtFX+ Hulk Statue from that's Geek online and I received a Chinese made fake knock off from Crazy Toys. Hulk looks like he is physically challenged, the face is glued on and not very even and not painted well. The body is a copy of Kotobukiya and is shiny green and fake looking. There is no base. I ordered the real thing today from Amazon. I won't be using that's Geek again. I emailed them and told them it was a fake and they just ignored my email. Their conditions say you can't return if you open the box, so if you have ordered this just send it back immediately with out opening. The box has a sleeve with a picture of the real statue so of corse you have to open as you assume the picture represents what is in the box. But i was very disappointed. If the write up said it was a copy I would understand, but it is advertised as being the real thing and it is not, that is criminal.
Please be careful of B2 dating website at www.b2.co.za A friend of mine who has bipolar, is divorced and has a child signed up, they advertise a low rate, she was charged R192 initially. In tiny light grey writing at the bottom of the page they say 'The 4 weeks Membership you have purchased will be renewed automatically for 1 month (R999). You can cancel your current Premium Membership with a period of notice of 14 days' What is (R999) it is not very specific and very vague, and is not in line with the South African consumer act. Is R999 for a month, six months a year or life time. At that price it should include a limo and dinner. You expect a reasonable monthly charge and you expect to be charged R192 again. But they charged her R999 the next month. Being December she did not have the money and she cancelled her card. Unbelievably they have sent a debt collector after the R999 which is now R1200 including additional fees. A lawyer said she should pay and we will submit to the consumer council although this company is based overseas it is amazing that they can crook customers using a .co.za website in SA and collect money in SA and they clearly don't have to follow South African law. They are crooks praying on people and tricking them into paying an unreasonable fee with very vague and misleading terms. Their cancellation can only happen if you send a fax to an overseas number. Who has a fax these days or even a landline. Clearly one of their cons to make sure they get more money. A Really really disgusting company, please stay away from these crooks!!!
I've been trying to cancel my LTE contract for the last year. Initially I was phoned by Mobile Talk and was sold a LTE modem and told that it had 20gigs of data with no mention that 10gigs were in the day and 10 gigs were at night. (When I went to the telkom shop they said it is 3G and not LTE, it was noticeably slower than another LTE pay as you go modem i had.) After the call I went online to Telkom and saw that the contract she was talking about only had 10gigs in the day and I immediately tried to phone but there was no answer, I then found their website and sent an email cancelling the contract because it did not have 20gigs of anytime data. I do have the reference number. I was still sent the modem, and should have rejected it when it was delivered in line with the consumer act. I have since bought a house and i have ADSL installed. 10gigs does not last very long, the new area has both slow ADSL and LTE buffers allot. I'm not sure why Bedfordview still has such bad internet connectivity, but two blocks away I see there is 40mbps VDSL Yay. I have gone into the Telkom shop twice to cancel, i don't have a problem paying a reasonable cancellation fee. Please cancel this asap.
