Ordered online - to the value of R2000 - 13/4/2024. NOTHING has happened since - they do not answer emails nor the online contact form. The order shows "processing" since the 13th.
I live in Holland I called FNB online services well in advance of my intended trip to SA to order new credit and cheque cards to be collected mid March when I was in SA. Only one card was available and the credit card got courier delivered to my brother's house, a day after I left SA. I asked my brother to please change the pin at an ATM when he can because he is coming to Europe next week. It could not be done because the card has not been activated online yet - but when I went online the card was not even registered on my account. I started the very expensive phone calls to SA immediately, and hours later I am no further than I started..........after failing to answer certain security questions correctly, I was told that I could not be verified and therefore I am now also locked out of my online banking until I have completed some forms to be sent to me via the mail. Security questions that are so far fetched and ridiculous that I could only say that I have NO IDEA what she was talking about when she asked me these "questions"!! Certainly nothing to do with me!!!! Now I am stuck again with a card that I can do nothing with ......but I need desperately as my pension gets paid into my FNB account!!! Why are things being made so terribly difficult ......??
I was forced to take out life insurance cover when I applied for my bond via FNB. Now that my bond has been fully paid for several years already, I am trying to cancel the life insurance that goes with it. After numerous mails to [Email Removed] the latest reply I got is: \Please note that this client does not have an active policy with us.\" I immediately replied that money is being deducted from my account as we speak and that it has been deducted EVERY MONTH for the last 12 years!!!! I demanded to know why money is being deducted and that I want the deductions to stop immediately and refunded .....because this I consider theft!! I am talking about R1 213 per month. The only reference I have to prove it - is FNBLIFEEFTSL203470953 664490.....which I think is clear to see that it is a FNB life product, right?

(Supplier name changed from FNB Insurance Brokers to First National Bank by Hellopeter.com)
"
