Bringing my book to life has been a meaningful milestone, and I’m grateful to have had such a dedicated and professional team by my side. I paid my funeral cover diligently on a monthly basis, as it was set up as debit order. On submitting a claim, I was informed they have technical difficulties - not once had technical difficulties to take a customers money. Ever since the claim was successfully submitted, I had to follow up daily, requesting to speak to a manager after a numerous follow ups - a manager is yet to contact me. I had to put myself in debt to give my father the burial he deserved, yet Capitec just does not care. Their call center delivers empty promises and does not care what happens to their customers. The money spent on these call is unprecedented - being to put on hold up to 25 minutes at a time. Absolutely chocking and disappointing. I now had to take extreme measures and report this to the Ombudsman.
I had to amend my personal details and made 100% sure that my insurance was up to date and everything where in place, I spoke to Mark Steenkamp and provided me with a positive attitude, great skills in communication, knowledge of his products and the ability to keep me entertained on all professional levels.
