In August 2025, I contacted the Pick n Pay call centre regarding a pack of rotten eggs I had purchased. A few days later, I received a refund of R79 in Smart Shopper points. However, when I checked my app the following day, only 79 cents remained. I immediately contacted head office and was informed that an OTT voucher had been purchased in Soshanguve using my Smart Shopper account. I have never been to Soshanguve , I live in the Eastern Cape, and my shopping history clearly shows where I usually shop. I have followed up multiple times over the past five months, but the issue has still not been resolved. I am requesting that my R89 be refunded to me as promised. Thank you, Pick n Pay, please resolve this matter urgently. Ref: 1004066544
On the 26th of November 2024, I phoned SEF Head Office with regards to my mother who joined the organisation over 20 years ago. I explained to the lady I spoke to that she is Diabetic and also suffers from High Blood Pressure and she can’t afford to pay SEF anymore. She takes money from SEF to pay loan sharks and take the money we give her for groceries to pay SEF. The lady promised me that it is possible to block her from getting money from SEF and 20 days later they give her money again. I phoned again and one of the consultants said they cannot force her to stop taking money from SEF but my question is why was I told that it’s possible to block her from getting the money and Frida knows that my mother cannot afford to pay the money she’s getting from SEF because she’s been at my home before and my dad even sold a sheep to pay my mothers SEF debt. If someone can be burned from Gambling at the Casino surely SEF can also burn her from getting R7000 that she can’t afford to pay back. I’m really tired of this now.
