I'm writing to share something deeply concerning about SEF, where my husband was employed. He experienced severe emotional abuse from his manager and one of dfs, a colleague who made his work environment unbearable. the stress and hurt became too much. he left the job not out of anger, but out of pain and exhaustion. I reached out to the company to plead for support, hoping they would help him heal and return to work. but there was no response. No care. No action. Im sharing this not to attack but to expose the truth: my husband gave his time and effort, he was mistreated and let down by those who should've protected him. I hope this reaches someone who cares enough to make things right, not just for my husband but for others who may be suffering silently too.

On the 26th of November 2024, I phoned SEF Head Office with regards to my mother who joined the organisation over 20 years ago. I explained to the lady I spoke to that she is Diabetic and also suffers from High Blood Pressure and she can’t afford to pay SEF anymore. She takes money from SEF to pay loan sharks and take the money we give her for groceries to pay SEF. The lady promised me that it is possible to block her from getting money from SEF and 20 days later they give her money again. I phoned again and one of the consultants said they cannot force her to stop taking money from SEF but my question is why was I told that it’s possible to block her from getting the money and Frida knows that my mother cannot afford to pay the money she’s getting from SEF because she’s been at my home before and my dad even sold a sheep to pay my mothers SEF debt. If someone can be burned from Gambling at the Casino surely SEF can also burn her from getting R7000 that she can’t afford to pay back. I’m really tired of this now.

We were a group of 5 women, our money was taken by a SEF facilitator, we later learnt that she didnt pay the money and we were not suppose to give it to her abd she wasnt suppose to take money from us. SEF the King Williams Town Office, told us to open a case as they are also not allowed to take money from their employees to refund such situations, and promised to submit our case at Old Mutual, where their pensions are invested, I kept checking them as they were not updating us, changed management at some stage but to cut the story short, SEF is now saying the employee withdrew at OM, so they didnt stop that process by making OD aware of the active case against the employee and on that note I personally feel SEF is liable for the money owed to us by their employee, I NEED MY MONEY BACK, there is no way we would feed into a foundation that is suppose to assist us.

My husband was employed by Small Enterprise Foundation in 2020, His name is Lucky Solly Mahlo. ID N0. 7903205475088. He was maltreated by his branch manager and resigned towards the end of 2020. Later we heard that the manager lost his job. My husband now want to be reinstated to his former job and we called the organization requesting them and we also wrote an email and they responded that they no longer reinstate former employees. But they have to take positive measures of weather the employees stole anything from the company or he just resigned because of maltreatment.
