The original issue is here: https://hellopeter.com/telkom/reviews/can-t-cancel-line- **********

After eventually receiving an email saying:

"Thank you for the feedback and the information provided, kindly note your cancellation order has been issued and back dated as well, Your cancellation order action reference number is ********** 06A"

I continue to receive invoices for the services, today I received an invoice with charges for 8 - 12 June reversed (4 days instead of 4 months), and a reconnection fee?

It has been 6 months since I followed all the required steps to cancel the line, and received acknowledgement and yet Telkom is still invoicing me, referring me to debt collectors and now charging me a 'reconnection fee' for services I am desperate to get rid of. I've wasted over 20 hours in emails, phonecalls, twitter conversations, online chat and Hello Peter reviews.

I believe this process is intended by Telkom to ensure that they collect a few more months service fees from customers who are no longer interested in their services. Does anyone know of any sort of mass legal action against Telkom for these unethical practices? I would be very interested in sharing all my evidence.

Every few weeks there is a new sticker on my door bell and on my gate keypad. When I pull the stickers off, it often peels the paint or bits of the sticker remain and dirt collects. I have called them on numerous occassions asking them to stop putting stickers up - yet they ignore me and continue. This is pure vandalism and if it happens one more time, I will report them to the police and lay charges.

I can't comment on their gate repair abilities, but I would personally never deal with a company that resorts to such tactics, even after having been requested to stop on so many occasions.

I sent in a cancellation form 4 months ago, received confirmation. No cancellation.

I called the call centre in February and March and sent all the do***entation again and received confirmation both times.

I paid the invoices for February and March even though I should have been cancelled and the call centre agent assured me that they would be refunded.

I was also assured it would be escalated to a supervisor and their retentions department and will be resolved.

Today I received a call from a debt collection agency and after 10 calls to the call centre and 4 hours wasted, I have ascertained that my line has not yet been cancelled, I have been passed from department to department and no-one has been able to assist me in getting this resolved.

I am s****ing to suspect that this is an intentional move by Telkom's retentions department in order to invoice for a few more months and make a bit more money. If this has happened to anyone else, please post a comment with some details of what happened - perhaps we can s**** looking into our legal options.
