HOTEL NOT RETURNING WHAT THEY FOUND IN ROOMS TO CLIENTS

I lodged there and accidentally forgot my food and went back to collect from the parking. By the time my fruit salad was brought to me it was opened and the housekeeper already ate it in those few minutes, it was half. I stayed there again with my kids and checked out on the 7 January 2023. Unfortunately I forgot my 2 year old daughter new sneakers and pyjamas. I called the hotel when I realised that I didn’t come home with them and the receptionist said they will enquire with housekeepers and get back to me. They never did, days later I called again and they said I must hold the line and they came back to me and said housekeepers did not find the shoes. I definitely know that they found them and like my food, it seems as if, if a client forget something it’s theirs. It’s human to forget but I thought hotels are supposed to keep the things until one comes and claim back what they forget. We need to be careful with this hotel and think twice before lodging here.
