"Unreliable and Unsafe Bus Services – Urgent Action Needed"

I am writing to express my frustration and concern regarding the ongoing issues with Putco’s bus services, specifically on the Kwaggafontein-Vlaglagte-Kwamhlanga-Bronkhorstspruit route. Route 5109.

For the past two days, our community has been left without a bus at the start of the day. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue directly with Putco via email, we have received no meaningful feedback or solution. On the days we have been provided with a bus, it has consistently been an older model with visible safety defects, including worn-out tyres. This is not an isolated case, as we have noticed that the majority of buses traveling to Bronkhorstspruit are in poor condition, posing a serious risk to the safety of passengers and other road users.

The lack of reliability and the unsafe condition of the buses are severely disrupting our daily lives, putting our jobs at risk, as many of us depend on this service to commute to work. Furthermore, the company has failed to provide any effective response, despite my repeated emails. I was only informed that my concerns were directed to their Pretoria office, but no follow-up or feedback has been received.

This situation is both unacceptable and dangerous, and I am requesting Hello Peter’s assistance in bringing attention to these serious issues. I urge Putco to take immediate action to:

Provide reliable and safe buses for this route. Ensure that all buses meet road safety standards. Address passenger complaints promptly and transparently. I trust that raising this matter on Hello Peter will prompt the necessary attention from Putco to resolve these ongoing issues and prioritize the safety and well-being of its passengers.
