<div>The owner, contacted me to install a cctv system at my sandton home after I had placed an advert. He installed +~15 cameras plus the necessary hardware including fitment etc. He also attempted to repair my electric fence as well as installing of a intercom system( 9k excluding fitting, for the intercom which I subsequently found out sells for R3800 on takealot). Cost of job was roughly 55k after all his additions added on AFTER final quote. It must be noted that riaz maintains a password to your hard drive and this is only divulged once final payment is made. So, if an issue arises, or some aspect where one does not agree with riaz or his standards, or his additional sir charge on extras, he will keep this password and have access to your cameras up until the discrepancy is resolved. This is not legal as he now has access to your camera systems including vulnerability of bedrooms and other personal areas until such time HE feels the issue has been resolved according to him. This retaining of password is not mentioned at the negotiation stage and prior to deposit being payed, it was only mentioned well after deposit was paid and the job was half way through, when I technically had no say in the matter and really, no leg to stand on. While the team take necessary requirements to be tidy and professional, I do feel at times they are rushed and pressurised by riaz often rushing the job with orders and deadlines been screamed from the foreground from riaz and customer care and satisfaction taking a back seat to completion of work in the shortest amount of time, clearly to maximise profit! There were issues to his fitment of my cameras, many weren’t installed in the correct place and the conduits running to the cameras were done haphazardly and with out regard to anything else but the completion of his work. The electric fence was incomplete( with wires hanging out from the actual fence and the magnetic tag not functioning to activate and deactivate the energiser) and through many arguments and protests ,a reduced amount in this regard was agreed on. Because he had reduced the amount purely on the electric fence ( this was roughly 4K but I stand to be corrected) he then claimed that the warranty of my cctv cameras and hard drive was now “ null and void” and the company and company had no duty to maintain its warranty on any hardware or installation what so ever-even though the amount for that job being all aspects regarding CCTV was payed in FULL. This was another example where “it’s his way or the highway” and I will not give you your hard drive password which has access to YOUR house until you agree to MY conditions. I feel the system was not explained to me sufficiently, I had to learn this on my own, which cost me time and effort also whilst these services were charged for on his quote , he spent roughly 30mins after the job end briefly running through aspects about the system I had no clue on and ended up being even more confused.Furthermore, the hard drive and accompanying box which I paid 2k extra for(and for no apparent reason) was installed in completely the wrong place( riaz opted to place this above my main bed which has become a complete nuisance every morning) and I will eventually have to remove at my own cost. Overall I found riaz a very difficult person to deal with, who feels that it’s-his way or the highway. I was not impressed with the way he treated his staff by constantly bellowing and ordering them around in an authoritative manner that I am clearly not used to. In a market industry that is saturated with suppliers and fitters I would NOT recommend riaz or his company. They are neither cheap nor competent and I would score them below 1 if possible. I would like to lastly add that I have negatively reviewed this company on another contractors site( name omitted but known to me)where riaz seems to dispute the review, which in turn cancels my review and it is then removed. I can’t help but think that all his good reviews on that website is purely based on the same principle of him disputing the various negative reviews he received and these negative reviews are subsequently removed. He basically chooses which reviews to maintain and this gives him his ‘squeaky clean’ profile. This review is a first hand experience of the company and i have all required documentation, communications in all forms, pictures of negligent and haphazard work, eft original payments, quotes and disputes with riaz t/a Quantico security solutions. I will gladly provide this to anyone including hello Peter to prove my authenticity and dealings with the company.</div>
