We went to Ramkiki for christmas lunch. What a HORRID experience!! Firstly the lunch was totally over priced. But it was a special occasion so we wanted it to be special. But we just left so disappointed and HUNGRY! the food organization was a disaster. Same que for starters, main & dessert. First plates were to hot to hold then was no plates! no butter by bread, no one to help dish up. It was just crazy My son decided to skip the food and try dessert. The custard was watery and the peppermint tart tasted like soap. There was NO presents in the christmas crackers other than a hat & joke. They advertised a free gift, but nobody waiter & manager knew what it was. The only positive thing I can say is that the waiters tried there best to please everyone, but between no cutlery, unorganized seating, filling the food dishes, they did not know who to help first. Seriously I think we deserve our money back!

We recently hosted a baby shower at Ramkiki on Saturday, 06/12/2025, and the experience was honestly shocking. Around 11am, our décor lady called to inform us that your staff were insisting the event was actually booked for Sunday, 07/12/2025. This was confusing because the event had been properly confirmed for Saturday. We even asked her to speak directly to Frank, the staff member we had been communicating with. Upon arrival, we were met with an unbelievably cold and disrespectful reception from a lady with dreadlocks at the front desk. We calmly explained who we were and why we were there, but her attitude and body language were completely unprofessional. Leaning over the desk, she told us we were supposed to have paid a R1500 table booking fee and that they were fully booked for the day (funny enough it didn’t even seem that way as the places she said were booked remained empty the whole time we were there) “because those people followed the rules,” saying that it would be unfair for us to just waltz in and get a table. We then showed her our actual conversation with Frank, who clearly told us no booking fee was required and that we could simply walk in as the establishment rarely gets busy. After seeing the messages, she proceeded to point at us and claim she had been told or was here belief that “we don’t have money.” We were stunned. Being spoken to like that, especially when the mistake was on the establishment’s side, was absolutely unacceptable. No apology, no professionalism nothing. We were then sent outside to a desk in the corner where our décor lady had been placed. Thankfully, we met Steve, the one staff member Ramkiki should truly be proud of. He was humble, calm, and helped diffuse the situation. He explained there had been a miscommunication and that Frank had been contacted to sort things out. He also mentioned the booking fee was actually R1200 few minutes later we were hearing R1000, which confused us even more, considering the other staff member had confidently quoted R1500. The inconsistency was alarming. Frank never appeared, never apologised, and the rude lady never acknowledged her behaviour. Fortunately, the event itself eventually went ahead and turned out beautifully, but only thanks to our own efforts and patience (I will give my big thanks to Steve as well at least one person knows customer service) certainly not Ramkiki’s customer service. I cannot recommend this establishment. Staff urgently need training on professionalism, communication, and basic respect. When the fault is on your side, the least you can do is treat customers decently. Our experience was unnecessarily stressful and deeply disappointing.

I made a booking a sleepover for the 10/02/2024 at Ramikiki Country Estate, however when I got to the venue to check for my booking. There was no security at the gate, no once to assist with checking in, basically there was no one to offer any direction or assistance. I was forced to sleep in my car as I was destitute, mind you this was in the middle of the night 12am. unsafe and uncalled for. I subsequently called them on Sunday to refund as I had ended up not using their facilities, they requested a proof of payment, which I did send to them. this whole time I am the one has to do all follow ups, they keep saying they will get back to me but never do. I am very disappointed with them, as we all know times are hard financially, and I cant just let go of money that I paid for a service that was ultimately never rendered to me. I need to have my money refunded, its only fair!

These guys are extremely unethical. Don't pay their suppliers and Joe particularly avoids the responsibilities of the Ramkiki business. Joe also leads all to believe he is the director however he is not as per CIPC registration. This confirms the unethical devious behaviour experienced

Beautiful place, however the food service is terrible, we attended brunch at 11h00 on Sunday 28th March as a group. The first meal came at 12h25 and my cousin was told an hour and half later that the meal he ordered was not available. Not a great place for an eating out. The floor Manager just came once and disappeared. She said I am sorry and turned her back very quickly to leave to never come back. Had a chance to speak with Guy the kitchen manager as we left, very nice person and he promised to sort out the kitchen as he was still new.

Ramkiki, we thought what a place to go to until we ran into the owner and management. What utter pathetic behavior from both sides. Going there because we are treated so well by staff members (waiters) that really go out of their way to make it a pleasant evening for us all only to find out that the owner treats his staff like utter rubbish and in front of his customers as well. Your establishment will not be getting our support again! Sorry to the waiters that put up with his rubbish just to make a living, the wheel turns!

I booked for breakfast for mothers day and my booking was on the deck. When we arrived we were told that we cant sit on the deck and we were placed inside. Our cappuccinos arrived in the smallest cup i have ever seen and they were cold. Our breakfast arrived and everyones food was cold. My daughter ordered eggs Benedict with this horrible sauce over (which looked like mustard). She sent it back and asked for a warm plate of food and to leave the sauce off. They did so but the spinach was replaced with lettuce and her plate of food was a total disappointment. The venue is beautiful but you spoiled our mothers day and the cost was so high considering the food we were given. Very disappointing.
