Had a battery not charging alternator problem. Phoned several vendors, only one offered some way to get the car to them, Sean from Diesel & Turbo. He assessed the car when I got it there, gave me detailed feedback an a quote which I accepted. The car was ready earlier than expected, washed for an alternator replacement, and some more feedback on other little things on the car that needs attention. And the nicest, getting charged considerably less than the quote! Honesty and good service.

Giving 1 star as you cannot give less than one, they dont even deserve 1 star.. Earlier this year i send my Mercedes Vito 115 to Randburg Diesel and Turbo for a starting issue. I was quoted R18 885.30 to repair the starting issue.. I have the go ahead. A few weeks later i collected my vehicle on a Friday.. Over that week end i saw it was sometimes battling to start.. And then on Tuesday it would not start at all again. This is now after i spend a small fortune on having the pump and injectors serviced and glow plugs replaced, which was Their diagnostic to fix my starting issue.. After contacting them, a technician was send out to me to find the starting issue, he plugged in the vito to his diagnostic tool and the cam postion sensor came up as a fault.. The car was taken back to Randburg Turbo and Diesel where they fitted the srnsor and billed me a further R1032. 12. Which i paid and the Vehicle was returned to me.. Since then ot has not had any starting issues. I contacted the owner, Johan Botha, of Randburg Turbo and Diesel via email te my problem with the initial bill of R18 885.30 that did not fix my cars starting issue.. He has not even had the decency to reply. Since getting the Vito back it has way more issues than when it went in.. It now has Turbo lag and no power, it runs hot when towing, also with no power, its fuel consumption is terrible even when not towing.

Good Day. I have decided to put this up because I think I had enough bull**** from reputable companies like Bosch Randburg Turbo and Diesel. Yes we all think that going to a highly rated workshop is good but let me assure you that not all is what we think or what we pay for is not what we expect. I have purchased a vehicle recently Golf 5 Tdi and the person that I bought it from already was in process of repairing the car and was currently at Bosch Randburg turbo and diesel. The seller told me that the car is for sale and I can purchase it has is and pay Bosch directly. So I did, an email was sent to Mr Kobie at randburg Turbo and diesel to say that I am the new owner and that i will be settling the bill and taking full responsibility of the vehicle going forward. Anyways i was told that car was almost done and just need to put in a new thermostat and thermostat housing and the car will be good to go. So basically the vehicle was towed into the workshop and upon diagnostics and physical inspection randburg turbo and Diesel identified the problem has follows: 1. vehicle not starting, reason cylinder head needs to be replaced, Injector seals need to be done, camshaft needs to be replaced, remove thermostat and clean, damage to gear pump, and also done oil change. so we have purchased a new head, new gear pump, new camshaft. it was all fitted in and I was told the vehicle is starting and ready for collection and the bill was R18900.00 besides the parts that I have purchased costing me around R7000.00. okay so I went to collect the vehicle and was told the vehicle is running fine and good to go. Paid the huge bill of R19000. Drove the car from Roodepoort to pretoria and when I started the car to return home it took forever to start, not even 150ks and the car fails to start. the moment the car got hot it failed to start which is one of the reasons the vehicle was taken in for. So I took the back to Bosch the car was there for almost 1 week, then was told to collect. Drove the car 1 day later same problem. Complained to Mr Kobie via whats app and email and i told them that i will report them to the motor ombudsman. He called me back and asked for a 3rd try, so i took the car back waited another two weeks and was told that car is good to go and I stated to them im going to kzn and he assured me the vehicle will give me no problems and I can drive down to kzn. so i drove down to kzn and believe me not even 1000k and the engine light comes on. same problem again. Called Kobie explained the problem and whilse in kzn got the car to a mechanic which costed me another 5k to repair and service. Drove the car back to JHB half way through engine light comes on and I immediately called Bosch Mr Kobie and he said if the car has power and not stalling or heating up i must drive it slowly back to jhb and bring it in. I mean in the middle of no were i had no choice but to drive it back home because i had my family and for the sake of they safety I drove it back home slowly. eventually got back to jhb took it back to Bosch Randburg and they inspected and these are the faults they found again. Camshaft damaged, Head damaged, no OIL Pressure.. then i was told that they cannot find the fault to whats causing this and that they donot do engines. and they did us a "FAVOUR" to repair this car.. I was fuming but kept my cool and said i will then take it to another mechanic if they cant figure out the fault. Fetched the car and again i promise you that when i drove the car out of they workshop unto the freeway the car was in a worse state than what i gave them. the engine was vibrating, no power, it was taking long to change gears. the idle was low causing the vehicle to switch off, it felt like the engine is going. Come on i mean after spending almost R26000 with parts the vehicle is now in a worse state than when i drove it to them, how is this possible. I notified them again and i took it to another workshop straight away which they picked up all the faults. main issue was camshaft, cylinder head and oil pump which is the reason why no oil pressure build up, damaged. they also picked up injectors needed to be replaced. This cost without injectors was R15000 which i had to pay again from my own pocket plus buy Injectors. The timing was off, the head was not torqued and had lead to so much damage. Financially i was in a bad state, and this just made matters worse. However i have taken a small loan from a family member and also asked bosch Mr Duane and Mr Juan To assist me as i could not afford this. they asked me to send them proof and I sent them the Invoices on what the actual cost is and the full diagnostic of all the problems on the car. From the R15k cost they agreed to reimburse me R3300., which is a slap on the face. I mean come on i spent alone R26000 now another R15k plus injectors, and they just give me back R3300. I actually pleaded to them on several emails and tried to resolve this matter peacefully. i again sent them an email which was my final email but up to this day they do not want to take responsibility of they mess. leave alone this car was taken to them by the previous owner and costed him almost R30k for the exact same problem which i have all the Invoices which was given to me when I purchased this car. I am totally disappointed with Bosch Turbo and Diesel randburg in the way they handled this matter and not willing to own up to they mistake and they bad workmanship on my vehicle. This financially has put me a bad bad situation. I will not recommend them to anyone. I thank Kobie For assisting me and I appreciate the fact that that they tried but why try if you do not do engines, why take on the job if you clearly state that its not your line of work. Please guys make sure you do not get ripped off the way I did. All Workshops are not the same but this one its a no no or no go...

I first wrote a good review on this company, But after driving my car for 100km since i got it back i don't think they deserve a 1/18 star. i would not recommend any person to trust the workmanship of Randburg diesel and turbo. My car cost me over 20k in last 2-3 weeks or so.first it was the MAF sensor (that still looks like the old one). then it was the inter cooler is leaking.then i got them to do ecu remap(still no dyno printout proof it was done). after all of this my cars turbo lag is worse than before and the fuel consumption still looks the same. It feels like i had a better change to throw money into a wishing well to get my car fix.

I send my bakkie in after i did my injectors on the 25/10/2019 , i send it in the 8th of January 2020 , came back with excuses that it was the injectors again and that they would not fix it under warranty , and said there was water and other stuff found in it, then went to fetch it and they actually stole 2 knives out of my cubby worth R1100 and i paid them R2400 for doing nothing on the bakkie, took it to another place they said that there was no water or other stuff found in the diesel, clearly they have pathetic service, and criminals working for them .

Had my Hyundai Getz worked on by Randburg Diesel & Turbo. No one else could figure out what the problem was, but Randburg Diesel & Turbo had it fixed. Very technical and professional service received. Never had an issue with my Getz again. Thanks guys.
