We took our dogs to this Vet for a check up. We used them 10 years ago as they helped with our other dog who passed away 10 years ago. Guess the drs and people have changed in the 10 years.
As mentioned we took our dogs for a check up. They were both fine. We mentioned that Rexie has an allergy to grass and that he used to get cortisone injections which we stopped, however I spray him with a type of cortisone. But only if he itches. His belly was fine and it wasn't necessary for an injection. Although the doctor mention that he has something else that will work. I asked how much it would be which he mentioned R600. I agreed. After the injection I noticed Rexie bled where the needle went in. That means to me he didn't do it well.
My son went and paid. We left.
It's been just over a week that Rexie had the injection. Two nights ago Rexie was outside coming in his belly was in full swing of the rash. Looked like he had measles.
The following day I sent an email to the Vet with the photos I took. Was told to bring Rexie back to them so that the Dr can prescribe cortisone tablets or something. I told them that I can't as I would need to make arrangements and we dont stay near.
I saw the tax invoice also recently.. my son paid.
We were charged for the injection (syringe) R65 plus VAT... we're in the world does one pay so much for a syringe. At Dischem it cost R2.00 and a pack R32
The injection they charged R671 plus VAT R100... this the Dr didn't tell us.
They over charge... and the injection for all I know it was only water. I will never ever go back to this Vet.
I would not give a star at all.... only because I have to.
