We took our dogs to this Vet for a check up. We used them 10 years ago as they helped with our other dog who passed away 10 years ago. Guess the drs and people have changed in the 10 years. As mentioned we took our dogs for a check up. They were both fine. We mentioned that Rexie has an allergy to grass and that he used to get cortisone injections which we stopped, however I spray him with a type of cortisone. But only if he itches. His belly was fine and it wasn't necessary for an injection. Although the doctor mention that he has something else that will work. I asked how much it would be which he mentioned R600. I agreed. After the injection I noticed Rexie bled where the needle went in. That means to me he didn't do it well. My son went and paid. We left. It's been just over a week that Rexie had the injection. Two nights ago Rexie was outside coming in his belly was in full swing of the rash. Looked like he had measles. The following day I sent an email to the Vet with the photos I took. Was told to bring Rexie back to them so that the Dr can prescribe cortisone tablets or something. I told them that I can't as I would need to make arrangements and we dont stay near. I saw the tax invoice also recently.. my son paid. We were charged for the injection (syringe) R65 plus VAT... we're in the world does one pay so much for a syringe. At Dischem it cost R2.00 and a pack R32 The injection they charged R671 plus VAT R100... this the Dr didn't tell us. They over charge... and the injection for all I know it was only water. I will never ever go back to this Vet. I would not give a star at all.... only because I have to.

Very grateful to Dr de Cramer. He sterilised the little stray I adopted from 9th Day so beautifully that it is impossible to even see the scar. He was also the only vet willing in December to keep his practice open after hours so that I could rush an injured rat to him. I am very thankful for vets who still show compassion. Much appreciated!

We had an emergency whereby our 2 dogs were in a tussle with a Rinkhals snake and needed immediate attention on Mothers day which was a Sunday. We contacted various vets and there were not many who could assist with immediate treatment. After many calls we found that Rant en Dal were open from 16h00pm the afternoon. We raced there and were assisted immidiatley. The problem is that we requested what the costs will be and this while the dogs were already being treated. The prices that we were given during the treatment in their emergency room was different from what we were told at accounts. We paid R15k on the spot which was a 50% deposit according to the document we received yet in the emergency room the anti venom, treatment and stay would be around R15k. Fast forward to a day later we are now told that the costs will not exceed R15kper dogso we will likely pay R30k? If you know you cannot afford this amount why would you agree and leave your dogs there? We did not in principle agree to this inflated amount so I have decided to collect my dogs and transfer them to another Vet as I suspect that the dogs will be kept there in order for them to invoice the full amount as per accounts. I have no problem to pay but be upfront with costs and speak with one voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very poor service at reception. Went to give my dog child of 16 years to be cremated and put in a box for memory, because he had been my child. The disappointment was great when they called and said I could come pick him up and all I got was a print of his paw on a piece of paper.
