Disappointing Experience with Gloria Badenhorst RE/MAX 2000

Our experience with Gloria Badenhorst and Sharon Botes from RE/MAX 2000 was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, we were left completely in the dark about the process, with very little explanation or guidance provided. Communication was terrible throughout, and we often had no idea what was happening or what to expect next. Instead of feeling supported during the sale of our home, we felt treated more like a commission than valued clients.

One of the biggest issues was that sentimental items we clearly did not intend to sell were not excluded in the agreement. This led to unnecessary conflict and pressure from the buyers afterward, which caused our family a great deal of stress and emotional upset.

We were also very uncomfortable that our personal contact details were shared directly with the buyers, resulting in repeated messages and pressure being placed on us personally instead of matters being handled professionally through the agents. Some of the messages we received from the buyers were honestly terrifying and deeply upsetting, yet the agents turned a blind eye to the situation instead of stepping in to manage communication appropriately.

Overall, the entire experience felt negative, stressful, and poorly handled. In our experience, the focus felt heavily placed on the sale and commission rather than protecting the seller’s interests, communicating transparently, and ensuring a respectful, supportive process during what is already a very emotional time.

We would not recommend this team based on our experience.
