Good day,
I bought a car at Renault Witbank dealership in December 2021. It is a Renault Triber 2021 model. I am a widow who needs a reliable car to take me where I need to be. Like getting to work and taking my daughter to school every day. I am no expert when it comes to cars, but I really loved this car as it was also what I can afford. However, within the 1st week of driving the vehicle, I noticed that it refs extremely high and lost speed almost instantly.
I went back to the dealership and told them about this and they reluctantly claimed that there was nothing wrong with the car. The frustration comes in when I am driving let's say at 100km/p, and reach an almost invisible steep, the car will literally lose momentum and drop its speed automatically. That time I am in a fast lane driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic. This causes havoc and panic, as I cannot always move from the fast lane into to slow lane at the speed it drops.
They also told me in no uncertain terms that they cannot exchange the vehicle for me and if they do, I will have to fork out almost R2000 on top of the premium that I'm paying currently to afford another brand or model. This will then be so pricey for a second-hand car with a much older year value
I was referred by a friend to lay my grievance to you and try and get some form of assistance with regard to this matter.
Your prompt response will be highly appreciated
Kind regards,
