In November 2025, The Repair Team collected my LG True Steam dishwasher from my home for repairs after ongoing heating/steam issues. Since then, despite endless calls, WhatsApps, emails and follow-ups, my dishwasher has never been returned.
I dealt mainly with a technician named Roy, who continuously made excuses regarding unavailable parts and delays. After months of waiting, I requested that my machine simply be returned if it could not be repaired. That never happened.
Things became even more concerning when another person named Terence answered Roy’s phone and informed me that Roy no longer worked for the company. He then attempted to sell me a Bosch dishwasher and even sent me photographs of another LG dishwasher asking if it belonged to me — it did not.
I escalated the matter to Samantha at The Repair Team office, who acknowledged Roy’s involvement with the company and advised she would escalate the issue. Despite repeated assurances, nobody ever resolved the matter, no senior management contacted me back, and I was eventually told to deal directly with the technician myself.
I have now:
Lodged a formal complaint with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO), Gathered all WhatsApp communications, emails, call logs and voice recordings, And will be opening a SAPS case regarding my missing appliance.
After more than 7 months, I still have no dishwasher, no explanation and no accountability from the company.
I am simply requesting:
The return of my dishwasher, Replacement with the same model, Or reimbur*****t for its value.
